Hey guys! If you're looking for the following: Painkiller, Bleed, Hot for Teacher, Come Together, Toxicity, Fool in the Rain, Rosanna, In the Air Tonight, or Wipe Out, they're all here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xShiihEkZ5c.html Also - Pantera on the way :)
Probably has to do with differing opinions on what is classified as "Iconic". For myself I classify iconic as "immediately recognizable without being labelled/ told the song name". Another factor may be that for most listeners (apart from drummers themselves) drums are overwhelmingly the least noticed/ remembered parts of a song other than memorable intros &/or rolls (i.e; Hot For Teacher, Where Eagles Dare, La Villa Strangiato, etc). And finally this list is one man's opinion & the internet has a bad habit of saying "Your opinion is wrong", & disliking something is a convenient way of doing so.
Fist of all, most of these are just famous songs definitely not famous for their drumlines. Billie Jean's drumline is iconic? Seriously? Secondly, it's a very loose and not in time drumming in general - he did nail nothing here. I came here to hear interesting beats i don't know but it's just a shameless clickbate video of a beginner drummer.
@@bradenvassov6214 No, i came here to widen my musical knowledge reacting to a title but saw just a subpar drumming of "nothing special" drum lines. If you are looking for complaints you better search better. I give you a hint - it's messages like why %name% by %name% is not here?
Drogon Because you’re missing the era of drummers it inspired. Not everything was flash that inspired your current favorite drummers. Go watch sugar foot play the song on Drumeo. No one plays such a clean steady beat. Way better live than recording.
@Drogon It's not about the most difficult but about the most iconic..and this beat is iconic in so many ways. Whenever I hear this basic rock beat played a certain way I think of Billie Jean. That is what makes is timeless and iconic
The Beatles - Come Together. Green Day - Long View The Beatles - Ticket To Ride Surfaris - Wipe Out The Rolling Stones - Hongky tonk woman U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday War - Low rider Korn - Blind. Paul Simon - 50 ways to leave your lover Queen - We will rock you. Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight (I'm sure somebody mentioned that one in the comment section) Guns And Roses - You Could Be Mine. Metallica - One....(You know what part I'm talking about.) Alice In Chains - No Excuses. Radiohead - Reckoner Radiohead - High and Dry Radiohead - There There The Knack - My Sharona The Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the devil (I can understand why this wasn't included) The Foo Fighters - My Hero Soundgarden - Jesus Christ Pose Marilyn Manson - The Beautiful People Pink Floyd - Time (I know I'm starting to get into esoteric territory now....But still it's pretty damn iconic.) Sublime - What I got (Most people recognize that song from the begging drum groove.) Blink 182 - I miss you (Again most people recognize the song from the begging drum groove.) Tone Loc - Wild Thing (Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Now I'm just being a smart ass.) Sweet - The Ballroom Blitz New Order - Blue Monday Iggy Pop - Lust for life Jimi Hendrix - Fire Van Halen - Hot For Teacher (I'm sure someone else mention that one in the comment section) The Police - Wrapped Around Your Finger The Police - Walking On The Moon
Some suggestions - John the Fisherman - Primus - Walk This Way - Aerosmith - Don't Stop Me Now - Queen - The Four Horsemen - Metallica - Holy Wars... The Punishment Due - Megadeth
@jesusfish "no one knows who meshuggah is" well that's clearly not true considering the original commenter did (of course others do too, but the original comment proves it all on its own)
Death - "Bite the Pain" Tool - "The Grudge" Dream Theater - "Honor Thy Father" Rush - "YYZ" Behemoth "Ov Fire and the Void" Iron Maiden - "Phantom of the Opera"
Every time I consider learning the drums I see someone like this dude handling the kit with such confidence and fluidity and I realize I'm never going to be that good. I'll just sit back and enjoy the show.
If you start learning drums you have about a 30% chance of ever being that good. If you don’t start learning drums you have a 0% chance of ever being that good
Great job man! Also the transitions sound really cool Edit: I also want to say that the production value is really good and overall it’s just an impressively well made video.
Daniel Alif Dude, I came to this video in hopes of of some System of a Down. John Dolmayan was such a god on the set. Either Toxicity or the intro to Chop Suey with the toms. So upset with the lack of system but still a great video
Aiden Duryba you're kidding right? How many pantera songs have you listened to because you simply do not know what you are talking about. You're telling me a simple 4/4 beat will take the cake over Becoming, Piss, Mouth For War etc and that either of those are generic??? He was a revolutionary drummer that influenced a whole new style of grove in metal. So excuse me if I think that he deserves at least one or two mentions.
Everyone's saying "where the fuck is *insert highly liked song* in this video?! DISLIKED!" I'm just here to say you sir are one of the most talented drummers on RU-vid! Loved your video!
Why would anyone dislike this video like I don’t see the point in disliking in general but like what could be possibly wrong with this video this guy is a drum god.
To do iconic things is basically suicide on RU-vid but you're so nonchalantly killing everything. Props. I just recently returned to drums all cocky and I don't feel happy with my performance because I constantly judge myself. Any tips on musical confidence?
Please please please try Phil Collins and Chester Thompson on In the Cage Medley, or the Drum Solo from Duke’s Travels. Actually, just about any Phil Collins drumming would make for an awesome video. Also, Poor Tom or Achilles Last Stand by Zeppelin would be dope as well. Great video! Keep it up!
Close on many - missing here and there- pretty dang good - need more toms for many of the fills to be in true form - subtle dynamics on sticking of phrasing.
Don’t sweat the negative comments, humans are always gonna look for the bad and ignore the good. You’re a far better drummer than I’ll ever be, so keep it up :)
