The Hollywood Reporter was desperate to prove how much they loved Hollywood, but they really had to reach. Everything from pity trophies to making bread had to be dragged out to hit 50. But when they end it with the “fact” that all hate for Hollywood is actually fake and everyone loves the movies they’re not going to see. Delusion is on the cards here. But what do you think of what you saw? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)
Ummm...hard disagree! Even if they all got like..50% raises, they wouldn't make up the money they lost before the next negotiations. And the best part: moves and shows are ALREADY getting cut, will be cut MORE going forward, and the new writers' rooms and other rules will absolutely ruin all the "reduced" shows/movies and they will be scrapped EVEN MORE TLDR; the outcome is that the industry will burn up in real time, VERY soon, which is better than obnoxious twats starving their wives and kids, with their propaganda addictions losing them 5months work
@@6vitamin that’s why we wanted it to keep going because Hollywood is crap and everything they produce. They’re full of themselves and deserve nothing for their lazy shit they produce. So we are sad to see it come to an end and wanted it to keep going so they lose money faster. Why are you on this channel if you don’t even understand how disparu covered this LMAO
Sad but true. If they were prolonged, till the points where it really hurts them, it would have been more consequent. Ok the other side, I can't imagine how many people lost their jobs, in Cinema, Streamingservices...... its a shame, to kill your back, so you can get paid for every minute, someone watches a simply movie, but if there is no was to distribute them: its your fault in the end
"We make bread" and "someone's dad is here"...well, considering the kind of cesspool that Hollywood is, I'm not surprised that that's the best reasons they can come up with.
Hollywood began with a bunch of fly-by-night hucksters who moved all the way out to the West Coast so they could make movies without paying a licensing fee for patents on movie camera technology (owned by Thomas Edison, natch) and not get caught and fined to oblivion. Some of its most classic directors, like Frank Capra, bullshitted their way into the movies by pretending to have experience and then winged it, somehow managing to be just as good as people who'd made hundreds of features. The only reason it's called "Hollywood" is because part of the sign naming it "Hollywoodland" fell down and they liked it better that way. And somehow, over the course of a century, it got even _funnier_ than this. How could anyone not love Hollywood?
I'm sure the Opera thought they'd be around forever. Then movies came along and decimated their turf. Now video games got movies shook. Direct-to-brain experiences (or whatever we have in the future) will leave the film industry of the future looking like the Opera of today
I love Hollywood too! It's the best unintentional comedy i ever watched! Who needs movies when you have people making videos about the lunatics there? Best entertainment ever and you don't have to pay Hollywood a cent
Kinda funny them being like "We still have stars, just look at Margot Robbie," when her previous 3 films before Barbie bombed, and people mainly went to see Barbie for Ryan Gosling.
I heard Barbie was good and I went to see it. I thought it was well acted. Would I recomend the movie because Margot Robbie was in it? Not at all. That movie did well inspite of Margot, not because of her.
“Everyone tells us we’re gross creeps, and we are! We’re proud of it!” Because dressing up in offensive caricatures of a demographic you’re not a part of for crude entertainment is horrible when it’s a skin color, but totally fine when it’s a disgusting male f*tish that preys on women.
i got news for ya pal: here in the american south, sex pests of the chomo and incest variety are almost at an unspoken epidemic level,,, the only difference betwern here and hollywood is nobody cares about over here,so it never gets talked about
Your claim is unstustianterd. To conflate ALL of all holywood with a few bad actors is absurd and wrong. I think Ill pass on whatever your menu is cause it sounds phoney. To have to explain to you about false confilationo is absurd.
@@yurikendal4868 Menu? Sorry pal I'm not a restaurant. Most of Hollywood knew what was going on, but kept silent, I do blame them all, nothing goods comes out of Hollywood anymore. Why you defending them? Hoping to become a actor one day or something? As for my History well the profile picture and date in the name should give it a way a bit.
I was mentioning to a friend (who lives in California) that I had just been to the shops (supermarket) and saw a shoplifter being detained until the police could arrives. My friend was amazed at the idea of people who steal from shops, being stopped AND the police turning up. According to them, shop workers in Cali are under instructions not to interfere with thieves for a variety of reasons, no matter what is stolen. America, a place I'd like to visit, not so sure I'd want to live there.
California isn't America. It is one part of 50+ states. Each state is its own little place with different rules, cuisine, dialects, laws, conventions etc. Some are better to visit and live in than others but each state is unique.
@@GenuineLhachwen California is huge, it has its own parts, different cultures. Northern California is vastly different than southern California, a lot of farming and rural
It is called "50 Reasons Why We Still Love Hollywood!" and they weren't able to give even single reason why anybody should like it. Frankly most of their points would make me hate the place even if I didn't know what it is.
In fairness, it's the Hollywood Reporter. Short of closing down, they have to be nice to the people they cover while indulging the people who inexplicably are still interested. If they ever got to the point of admitting "Hollywood is cancer", they'd still be motivated to claim "but, it's the interesting kind of cancer. tres chic."
I thought this was supposed to be an article full of reasons we should LOVE Hollywood. Not reasons it should be spammed with n_kes until it's nothing but a giant crater.

I will love Hollywood if they put out a full length feature film about the backstory or John Prince, the business tycoon of new Nottingham and protaganist of "Robyn Hood"
In most industries, if you were making a product that no one really _needed_ , and there were suggestions that some of your competitors were perfectly capable of providing that product... _And_ your customers were openly telling you why they didn't like your products that they used to stand in long lines to get... _And_ there were reams of marketing data to tell you that many of those customers were, indeed, forsaking your product... _And_ even as all of this was falling down around your ears, the costs of making your product continued to grow by leaps and bounds... You might, just _might_ , get the inkling that something needed to change.
That article is a cry of desperation. This year there will be so few movies in theaters, most will probably close. Doesn't matter if they're "back at work", writers and actors will probably not have any work left. And this is an article by Hollywood Reporter, they're afraid for their jobs too since "traditional" media is already being cut out of existence. It's more of an eulogy at the burial of Hollywood.
@@Guderian2 I am going to be real honest, I thought the algorithm would've caught that and never given it the light of day. But I stand by what I said.
TL;DR on the Disney/Florida thing: Disney was given government power to build a city in Florida. They didn’t, but they kept the power. Florida government was cool with them keeping that power because of tourism, then Bob Iger interfered with Florida politics. Florida man got mad. Florida man took away their government power, citing that Disney didn’t build the promised city. Now Disney is big mad because their property taxes are going to skyrocket.
Hollywood through RU-vid, has given us a lot of good laughs and joy. Like the law and order suv woman not pressing charges on the grapist because she has money and he doesn’t. It actually made me lol yesterday seeing a clip on it.
@@omegamark9178 Lol yea look it up. They are certifiable. She said I can afford therapy but if he goes to jail it’s over for him. So white rich women should allow grapists go around and grape them because they are white and rich 😂 you gotta love how infected Hollywood has become with ideology.
I couldn't agree more in terms of Korean shows of which I can't get enough. We enjoy watching them as family favorite shows. The only thing is I hate to read the subtitles which makes me want to learn Korean! Their production is that good. ❤
90 percent of the media i consume is on youtube. I can find anything Im interested in and find hours upon hours of content regarding it. I even have youtube premium.
"Even as they see anything Margot Robbie is in" Um...except _Birds of Prey_ . And _Babylon_ . And _Amsterdam_ . Come to think of it, I struggle to think of a movie from the last decade besides _Barbie_ for which people _do_ actually have fond memories of Margot Robbie's acting, unless you count _The Big Short_ , where her entire role was to be naked in a bathtub while she delivered exposition about the subprime mortgage market. Somehow that doesn't come across as a big win for Hollywood progressivism.
Hollywood, the five ring clown circus that plays 24/7. We're always waiting for the next big scandal, see what horrific things have been going on there... don't let us down now...
I don't hate Hollywood - I despise it, I'm disgusted by it, but I don't hate it as hate means that you care enough about something to focus your attention on it. As such, I ignore it - I watch the trailer, confirm it's yet another SJW dumpster fire and go on about my day without worrying about it.
We do not love Hollywood. We do not love sports. We even lost our love for video games. Have a good time being replaced by AI entertainment branches. Don't come crying to me when you lose all trust.
All the good and talented people that have been banned by Hollywood for wring think should ban together and start a rival film company. I bet they would take over the movie industry practically overnight.
Watching RU-vid videos about Hollywood Movies, is more entertaining, than watching Hollywood Movies, also I don't need to go to Movie Theatre to watch RU-vid.
It's like being a model. If you need to justify your beauty or carry around a photo of yourself from years earlier, then your face isn't doing it anymore.
worlds best bagels? there is absolutely no way its the best in america let alone the world. Pretty sure New York City is the place known for the best bagels in america.
When my buddy asked for a list of shows to watch, I didn't immediately notice that everything I named was a decade old or older. The newest things I recommended were True Detective season 1 and Boardwalk Empire.
If everything in that demented article was real, there would be no need to say it...again, and again, and again... They're self congratulatory because no one else congratulates them. 🤢🤮
Still surprised they didn’t change their sign to Hollywoke at this point. They can get a slogan like: “known for its delusions” 😆 I knew they had many excuses for their own failures but I didn’t know how many they came up with along with the “fake hate” Also, I don’t know if anyone ever saw an ad for Mr.&Mrs.Smith on prime cuz you don’t even know what or who it’s about until the title shows up. But I’m sure those actors checked some boxes 🙄
I sometimes wish I was fabulously wealthy. I thought it would've been funny to pay for some kind of graphic overlay for the last 'o' and 'd' with a 'k' and 'e'. It would be such a fabulous troll. Alas, I am not wealthy in money. 😁
They DO NOT have the best bagels. That's the dumbest one on the list for many reasons. I'd listen to Rachel Ziegler ramble for three hours before eating a California bagel over New York, New Jersey, New Haven, even a couple places around Hartford. The disrespect is palatable...
Movies peaked in the late 80’s and rode that high through the 90’s before steadily declining ever since! TV peaked in the 90’s and rode the high through the early 2000’s and has fallen off a cliff since 2015! I honestly prefer watching reruns over modern television. We occasionally get a bright spot but more often than not it’s by complete accident! If they realized they were making something worth watching they would immediately find a way to fuck it up!
I used to think you were ripping off your internet persona, until I remembered that UK humor is universal😂 I miss when comedy was normal and fun! Thanks for the breath of fresh air.
Hollywood is knocking on the death’s door and video games with good stories and Anime can take its place with fun characters and actual stories that aren’t just liberal arts majors copy pasting themselves into the skin of once beloved franchises.
Inertia and English, nothing more. Since English is my 2nd language, I find it was easier to drift off into Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Nordic... cinema, since subtitles are subtitles - and honestly, you people are missing out. Remember how good Godzilla Minus One was? Yeah.
Hollywood used to have a large captured audience prior to the internet. The only competitor was TV. Back in those days, special effects were the true domain of motion pictures. But now that isn’t the case and the internet opens the audience to more options. Hollywood in its original form is dead. Large production studios will find it increasingly harder to stave off the eventual collapse. Looking forward to it just like I am enjoying the state of California become the penal colony that old Hollywood fantasized
