I have twice passed Daniel Day Lewis by on the street as he lives near me. Believe me his photos or films do not do him justice. He is far more handsome in real life.
A lot of them never were hot. They are famous directors, not actors, except in their own movies--Mel Brooks? Martin Scorcese? And they are in their 80s for crying out loud! Shatner, Brooks, Scorcese, Nicholson (he was old in 1990 when they cast him with Helen Hunt), Wagner...Redford for example. Same beautiful bones but he is so old, it's laughable that they are judged on their appearances. Finally, many of these shots are posed and photo-shopped for their careers--they never looked that good. They were character actors, comics, not sex symbols.@@stj971
The trick to staying young looking? Don't drink alcohol, don't smoke anything and don't take pharmaceuticals including many antidepressants and complicated stuff that doctors prescribe. Also don’t do street drugs, one has no idea what is in them! To make certain you don’t get cirrhosis, liver disease or cognitive issues leading to dementia, stay off that combo of Tylenol & beer or Tylenol/wine or acetaminophen& booze. Also, watch out for anticholenergics like Benedryl or Elavil, they can speed up dementia. Exercise, exercise, exercise. Stick with low mg gummies from legal taxed and licensed dispensaries and drink lots of water. Wear sunscreen.
Most have aged well. Some have improved with age, some not. That's the problem with age is it not? We all wrinkle and sag, some just wear them better than others. There are some men in this post who I would never consider "hot", but then beauty is in the eye of the beholder. One who just kept getting sexier and better looking with age was Sean Connery.
Come on now, I’m not famous but I was hot in my youth. It’s the nature of youth. Although I have to admit that most of these men look even better now, maybe it’s because I’m old too. 😂
It doesn’t hurt being rich enough to afford healthy food and all the best medical and dental care and in many of these cases, staff to make it easy to take care of your body. But yeah, bone structure is the biggest part of how well someone ages. What’s really incredible is how awful some guys look in their childhood/teens and how handsome they grow up to be. I wish every kid knew that growing up so they wouldn’t be so hard on themselves. Also, pretty much everyone looks good between the ages of 18 and 28. Most importantly, everyone gets old eventually, so it’s important to have a personality and be a decent person. But the most important thing to know about looks is that EVERYONE is beautiful to the people who love them.
I notice that "fat" in the face helps them look youthful, then as we age it disappears. But that can also help some. It's what's inside that counts. But I like a pretty person, too ! LOL
@@Speedslip-bq2gk , Paul Rudd is an actor. He was in Clueless, opposite Alicia Silverstone and in Overnight Delivery, opposite Reese Witherspoon. He's still adorable.
*Ageless Robots?* Stay free, HGTV. Rab 🍻😎 ⏰ 🕊 ☠ PS. My pic was taken early 1970, just before my 19th birthday ... and I had arranged to meet John Lennon at Savile Row. But that is another story. All the best. R 👋
Rufus Sewell has had a TON of plastic surgery. I wish I had the money and TIME to spend just going under the knife, but it’s not my job to look good! Personally, I’m so old I just don’t care. If it impacted my health, like having cataract surgery, then sure. But not just taking time off from a big project for my personal VANITY. Nah. Life’s too short. There’s too many risks involved in elective surgery after a certain age. People are known to have heart attacks or strokes just because they wanted to get a face lift, and ended up with half their FACE immobile! He does look good but for an actor to have plastic surgery, which in effect immobilizes the face, could be detrimental to showing their full range of emotions. Rufus Sewell now looks continually surprised since his last facelift.
We all age. Trust me, with age you become more interesting, unique and wise. Why is aging presented as a detrimental factor? Trust me, these men have gained far more than they have lost.
But he is precious in the Unexplained and Ancient Alien shows! When he played Kirk, he was already married with 3 daughters. Now he's Methusaleh (sp?) but is wonderful--a treasure.@@meredith3588
I will agree that about a dozen of these men were quite handsome years ago. McConaughey, Gibson, MacLachlan, Baker, Delon, Ford, Bean, Firth, Harmon, Kostner, Redford and Mortensen were all very handsome. The rest of these guys have never been handsome. Viggo Mortensen is still a very handsome man.
@@piarademacher4024 , not true. I just couldn't remember all of the men who were in the video, and named as many as I could remember, without rewatching the vid.
Some guys are just "pretty" when they were younger. It looks weird on a guy. As they age, their faces mature. In their late 40s - early 50s, these guys are ridiculously good looking.
Almost all of them still look amazingly good, a few even look better now. Some it's hard to tell the difference, they look nearly the same! The ones with the most difference have the biggest age gap, so that's to be expected. Handsome men, still to this day!
At least a hint? Pretty sure it's all about the ageism factor. Take it or leave it. P.S. A mature man rarely makes a woman's heart skip a beat but I suppose the possibility is out there.
One day, Sam Shepard held the door open for me at a sushi bar in the rain. I nearly died! My husband was parking the car and comes in the restaurant and was "What's wrong? What happened?" I was gobsmacked! He did not turn me on in movies, but as a much older man, he killed! Then, he died. Another old time masculine hero was Stewart Granger. I met him when he was a little old man--white hair and very sweet. Two different people 40 yrs apart. @@wilpri
Well, you either learn to not dwell on age and growing old(er), or you end up looking like a freaking nightmare from chasing the lost years of youth. Aging gracefully is living fully.
Please tell me what you will look like in 20 to 30 years!!! The passage of time may not be gentle to your face, but a persons character and heart may grow more beautiful.
I'll give credit to this channel; they used better NOW photos than most other sites have. Some others put up the worst pic possible, for click bait. Here they put up a good example both times. I don't like sites that that exploit or demean. TY CR.
Ewe! Mel Brooks has never evr been "so hot". lol You missed adding Udo Kier! He was beautiful when he was young. In films like Mark of the Devil, Flesh For Frankenstein,Blood of Dracula, and Suspiria. He's still acting in movies today.
I am familiar with all of these actors from back in the day, so I wasn't expecting much... But... Bill Nighy back in the day... HOT! 🥵 And then Daniel Criag... my jaw DROPPED!!! He's HAWT!!! My dude looked like came straight out of The Malfoy Clan! 🤩🔥🔥🔥🤩
Machine Gun Kelly looks a lot like the young Mr Nighe. Almost a perfect match on outward physical appearance. Who knows what the inner self holds ??!! ✌🏻🫶🏻
We are losing that expectation however--plastic surgery makes us expect very little change in celebrities. I like that most of these guys wear their hard-won wrinkles proudly. So many don't. I see them on some show and recognize the voice but cannot place the face for anything. Jack Lemmon is an example. He was interviewed on Tom Snyder, and I missed the intro. 45 minutes and I was going nuts trying to figure out who it was!
Who picked these guys? There is nothing appealing about most of them. I guess I have gotten picky in my 75 years...Stamos was cute and lived a town away. Ethan Hawke, loved him on Rez Dogs!
