many incorrect answers in this episode: flink is not crows, it's cows Depp never married the mother of his children Vanessa Paradis; he's been married once to Amber Heard Koala bears aren't members of the Bear species Carbonara doesn't have cream as an ingredient French colony is not the country of France, that's like saying Puerto Rico is a US State.
If you’re creating a quiz for people, please make sure your answers are correct. Question 9 is wrong. It’s a murder of crows, a flink is 12 or more cows.
1. Any group of crows is called a murder. 2. Radio code for Q is pronounced "Kay-beck." Ask any Navy communicator. 3. The question about the border with France says "France." Not "French territory."
French Guiana is a department of France, not a territory. That makes it an integral part of France. It's similar the Hawaii being a state in the union vs Porto Rico being a territory.
Another Aussie here! I have heard Huntsman spiders called Triantilopes 40 or so years ago. Haven't heard it since the 1970's though... just some old obscure slang that basically is extinct. Still technically correct, but not in common use for decades. I did get that one but I grew up surrounded by people born in the very late 19th /early 20th century. I, my self, am a 1967 model but have some very clear memories of stories and demonstrations of some, to me, very old practises and terms now long out of use.
I've been humbled by this test. Usually your quizzes give me the illusion I'm fairly smart. Reality can be painful. Keep the tests coming, they are quite entertaining and informational.
Hello, I didn't do so well on this quiz I missed 13/50, Fyi you missed the crow because a batch of crows is a *murder* not flinx this is the 3rd time you have gotten an answer wrong. Still have a nice day, I knew it was a murder and not a flinx! 🤔
You really should take the time and learn to pronounce the words you are using and learn to read. It is not a group of 12 or more CROWS. A Flink is a group of 12 or more COWS! Depp and Paradis were never married" There are other mistakes. So do your Homework and learn to read!
So now we know that French is not your forté, lol #9: Yeah, no. A flink is a group of twelve or more cows, not crows. #11: to be completely pedantic about it, when there's only one it's a grissino. Grissini is the plural form #18: continuing with the pedantic mode, whatever the end result is, if you use bacon it ain't carbonara. Carbonara is made with guanciale or pancetta. Never bacon.
French Guiana is an overseas Department/Canton of France and borders Brazil :( I got it wrong too, only worked it out when he gave the answer. It’s where France launches it’s space missions from.
Wow! I came across your channel a few minutes ago and was very pleasantly surprised. Great questions; and #34 (I believe that's the number) was definitely a head scratcher. Since I have an insatiable mind and love learning, I decided to subscribe to your channel. Best regards from British Columbia, Canada ☺️
French Guiana is NOT France. French Guiana belongs to France, but it is not France! There are already a million subjects of which I have not much knowledge. You don't have to get ridiculous to make difficult questions.
The France border question is poorly written. I think it means which country, along with France, has the longest land border. If you google it, it says Brazil.
Animals 8/10 Food and Drink 10/10 Randon Mix another 10/10 France 9/10 Also Known As 9/10 Total 46/50 47/50 if the one about Crows is wrong (CROWS is MURDER COWS is FLINK)
French Guiana is NOT France. Ask the citizens of either country. Colonial history aside, two individual nations. Would you say that the Seychelles are France? Would you say that Martinique is France? Would you say that Tahiti is France? Would you say that Cote d'Ivoire is France?
The animal you refer to is a koala - it is NOT a bear. This point has been raised with you before and I ask you to stop being discourteous. Your response earlier was that a number of people refer to them as bears. A poor response and equally discourteous. You have also falsely pronounced emu. It is correctly pronounced EEM-YOU. Why would you choose to use the incorrect American pronunciation for a uniquely Australian animal? So I would respectfully request that in the future you refer to koalas and pronounce emu correctly.
I live in in South Africa, I am South African, and pronounce it as a South African would. As for my response regarding Koalas, please point me to my exact response?
French Guiana is indeed documented as France, as well as recognized as part of the European Union. Its official currency is the Euro. "French Guiana is the second-largest region of France (more than one-seventh the size of Metropolitan France) and the largest outermost region within the European Union. French Guiana (French: Guyane) is an overseas department and region of France" Confirmed with information available on Wikipedia, Britannica, and Agence Française de Développement. Thanks.
I searched Google hi and low but could find no reference to a flink of crows and Brazil is in Sth. America not Europe. It could help if you checked the pronunciation of many of the names here too.
France's longest border is shared with Brazil. This is thanks to French Guiana (which is French territory and therefore part of France) and its 730 km border with Brazil.
