Correction for #13: Instead of the first two bosses listed, you can instead fight Radahn first, then do Varre's questline to fight Mohg. Meaning that you only need to kill 11 bosses in order to beat the game.
Here's something interesting: the second fight with Rennala you aren't actually fighting her but either Ranni or some sort summon Ranni makes, could even be some sort of memory of Rennala at her most powerful. It makes a lot of sense since she is the only boss that doesn't disappear when beat because you actually aren't fighting her. I honestly don't know if it changes if you complete Ranni's questline before taking on Rennala, wouldn't surprise me if it did change but no one has tried it.
Well, Ranni does speak in the cutscene after you beat first phase and it seems to trigger sort of an illusory trap where one version of Rennala is actually summoned in as she glows a whiteish blue until the illusory dimension consumes the area. Also you can’t complete Ranni’s questline without beating Rennala because you need access to the boss room post fight to open the chest. Lastly Maliketh still appears back in Bestial Sanctum after you defeat him but back in his Guranq persona if you haven’t turned in all the death root to him.
I actually don't think Ranni is speaking to the player directly there. She doesn't acknowledge that she knows you, so I think it's some sort of automated response spell for anyone disturbing her mother.
Apparently not a lot of people know this, but Crucible Knights will target invaders. Most field bosses and other large enemies deal friendly fire, but Crucible Knights will actually stop fighting you to focus their attacks on invaders instead, at which point you can just sit back and let them take the beating, lol. I imagine most players overlook this because they tend to have cooperators present who continuously draw aggro. I only noticed it during my Taunter's Tongue playthroughs. There are some other weird things I've found, but more so visual details and map easter eggs, so I dunno if that's of any interest.
There's alot more than 4 bosses you can miss like the one magma wyrm you named i beat the game over 7 times and just started a brand new playthrough to 100 percent the game on my best friend's account and never knew about that magma
Im always thinking about the fact that there could be secrets no one discoverd yet. Like a invisible door or if you beat 5 enemies then emote you get teleported
To be clear gurranq IS Maliketh, because first, gurranq has the medal, which contains destined death as you already mentioned in the video and second, Maliketh has a unique dialogue after completing Gurranqs Questline.
I thought you could kill Radahn and then Mogh for your shardbearers to get to capital, and skip going to Stormveil or Raya Lucaria, and reduce the required boss count?
I believe you can only fight Mogh via Varre’s quest line if you have killed Godrick. People have claimed otherwise, but I have seen no evidence of this
I tried it the other week, did Radahn and then could progress Varre’s questline. Wasn’t able to beat Mogh at that low a level, but definitely got to him with only beating Radahn. Unless there’s an issue after Mogh it works.
@@satua13 Not positive about this, but some mods alter varre's quest to be complete-able without invading, even the offline invasions. Did you have any on that could have changed it?
13 is wrong you technically only need 11 if you fight mohg instead of godrick because theres no prerequisite boss. you can get to him really early through varre
