We need a female lion. Just give her a hoodie or really fluffy hair and you're done. Or they could just make a lioness villager model, like with the bulls and cows.
I thought that as well and I think your referring to Tucker. I looked him up and it basically says he’s designed to resemble a Wooly mammoth but he’s still categorized as an elephant.
@@TheKimharv many villagers are categorized outside of their actual species. For example, Julia is a peacock but considered an ostrich . They use the terms like "similar to" and "resembles" for a great many villagers
@@cozyskyjurnee indeed, there are quite a few villagers that while using the base model of one animal, but are clearly referencing another similarly shaped animal, like how there is a zebra, okapi, and unicorn villager that all use the horse model. What’s funny is that on top of Julia, MOST ostriches aren’t actually ostriches. Out of 12 ostrich villagers in new horizons, only ~4 are actually meant to ostriches, and of them, one is a robot, and two others might be referencing the ostriches close relatives, the emu and rhea. Sandy is pretty much the only ostrich that seems to just be an ostrich. You could honestly make a better argument for them being cranes if you were unaware of what they really were, as there are THREE crane based ostrich villagers, Blanche, Cranston, and Gladys.
45th fact is false: actually, lazy villagers are the most common personality, with 60 villagers. Edit: I forgot the existence of Marty the lazy cub, Étoile the normal sheep and Chelsea the normal doe, so the most common personalities are normal and lazy villagers with 61 villagers.
I have a habit of not knowing how rare/desired the villagers I get are. I’ve had Tia, Marina, Bob, Marshall, and Dom. I didn’t know they were valuable until I listed them on Nookazon.
Dagnel, you’re the only AC channel I’m subscribed to. You don’t clog up my feed with clickbaity garbage and speculation, and all your videos are informative, fun, or both- in other words, they’re *all content,* no filler. That is exceedingly rare in the AC-tuber world. I like your goofy challenges and your fun energy and your positive attitude. Thank you for being the one island of good content in a sea of garbage, bullshit, and whining.
Slight correction at 2:30. Only male reindeer lose their antlers in the winter. However, female reindeer do not, which implies that Jingle is actually female
Actually, the twins' relation to Tom is somewhat ambiguous, with some villagers saying they're his nephews and others saying that Tom adopted them as orphans in the city. I think Tom himself says they're his "proteges" to not have to go into his personal business with everyone.
all three of those things can be true, they can be his nephews, they very well could be orphans from the city that nook adopted (orphans just means their parents died), and they could be his proteges which just means nook is training them
@@miles6492 well thats not what that word means so if ur referring to a situation where nook refers to them as proteges then ur referring wrong cause u said tom himeself says theyre his proteges
Fact 26 is somewhat incorrect. Only male deer shed their antlers in winter, females keep theirs until the following spring. So Jingle is technically a female, as are all of Santa's reindeer that pull his sleigh as they're usually depicted with antlers.
dagnel: shows formula for the number of unique villager combinations on an island with 10 villagers me, sweating profusely: [flashback to ap statistics] this was a fun video! i love useless tidbits of information. super excited to see what the bigger project youre working on is
I'm Surprised you didn't mention this, but Redd isn't a fox, he's a kitsune (also due to stupid localization reasons). Them being made to dislike each other could possibly be related to both being based on mythical creatures that were known to either help or trick humans.
I think we have a 50/50 chance of actually hearing something about ACNH at the Direct. While we KNOW that Nintendo is working on updates and that we most likely will see Brewster and gyroids by year's end there is a good chance they could keep it under wraps until late fall/early winter and just toss us the small update we need to unlock Halloween next month. I am hoping we see something about Animal Crossing, but I'm not holding my breath. I know it will come eventually...but it could still be months away. I know if I was The Big N I would probably shoot for releasing a BIG update close to Christmas to generate buzz and drive up Holiday sales.
I questioned everything I knew about animal crossing when you said there were no female lions. I felt like I maybe didn't know what animal crossing was anymore 😂
i'd say that the robot villagers sprocket, ribbot, del, meow, bow and that new villager from the dlc trailer are also not animals, but i can totally see why other people say they are. cute video! :3
I checked and the passage from "A Study In Scarlet" used in the Animal Crossing texture you mention is John Watson describing in detail the injury he received in the war.
They aren't related by blood. He just happens to call them his nephews but they aren't truly related. It's just like calling a close family friend your Uncle. You may not be related but you refer to them as being your Uncle.
Fun fact! Wilbur and Orville’s names are based off of the Wright Brothers. The oldest Wright brother is Wilbur, making Wilbur, and and Orville related in Animal Crossing!
So, the whole thing with reindeer antlers. While most reindeer do shed their antlers in winter, pregnant females do not. Meaning that Jingle is a girl who's always pregnant around Christmas time
Actually, excluding the fossilized villagers, there are 2 other extinct characters that have been realistically absent. Those two are Bow and Meow. Them not being put on sale by Nintendo probably kills all of their species in-game!
Bow and Meow are actually robots, named after 2 human-animal translation devices. It's very likely that Nintendo had to remove them to prevent legal issues with Takara, the company selling them.
Fun fact about Tanuki’s: in Japan there’s a children’s song about their balls. iirc, it goes something like this; “Tan-Tan Tanuki’s balls. Even when there is no wind, they swing, swing. Never change, Japan❤
i noticed that gulivarr mentions davy jones when trying to wake him up, i sadly skipped through the dialogue and just saw a glimpse of him mentioning davy joney, just because i recently rewatched the pirates of the caribbean movies
From the AC Wiki: "In Wild World, Tom Nook explains to the player that Timmy and Tommy are not related to him by blood, and thinks of them as his pupils and himself as the mentor, stating that he wants to teach others good economic principles in order to help them from suffering the same pitfalls he did when growing up."
In new leaf lyle mentions something along the lines of “Nook why were you looking at your nephew’s shop earlier?” Or something i dunno its been 5 years
Okay so about Timmy and Tommy, it's odd, the games seemingly keep contradicting themselves when it comes to them. In Wild World Tom says they aren't related and are just employees but in other games he calls them his nephews?? I'm just gonna guess that they aren't actually related to Nook but rather he's sort of their parental figure looking out for them. Hence the 'Not related' 'they're my nephews' thing. They're his nephews just not by blood. Honorary sort of deal I think.
I was watching this, considering getting Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and then I got the answer when the short ad before the video was for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Is RU-vid watching what I’m watching?
