TOM LIT8 not sure mate. The mini one is just the base model isnt it? It will handle well and go okay. The cooper s will be excellent though. Plenty of mods for 2 litre engine

how long have you had had it, any major issues? how reliable would you say they are has it been to you should i say. looking to pick one up soon

Vargas very very reliable the engines themselves are pretty much bombproof. 1320 mini are running one with 700 brake has forged pistons the rods/crank is stock so it can take a beating. 2001-2003/4 pre facelift models look out for rear wishbone bushes/ Power steering fluid leaks And brake fluid resevoir caps. Common problems. 2005 and 06 models are better Timing chain tensioners can fail but a very easy fix but it is unlikely. Minis are reknown for leaking oil. Crank sensor o ring/ Rear main seal which is a biggy Oil filter housing. Rear main seal will cost a fair bit and is a pain in the arse so make sure it doesnt leak from therr again this is high mile car problem but it can happen.

Vargas I have owned my car for just over two years now. Picked her up on 45k shes now just under 62k miles. The garage serviced it and it leaking from the oil filter seal which was their fault and no problem of the car i fixed that buy just taking the filter out and realigning the seal. Earlier this rear my gear linkage cable snapped. So i replaced that and the selector cable which has improved gear changes and the feel no end. Thats it really other than brake pads tyres and your usual preventative maintenance tbh. Rear backboxes are known for rusting to but i have a janspeed mani to milltek cat back so no worries hope this helps and more questions just fire away bro

Never underestimate power to weight ratio mate. My 270hp 1.8t Mk2 Golf was always able to pull on my sisters 450hp C63 in the low - mid ranges simply because it weighed 800kg and her car weighed 1700kg. Weight reduction is the cheapest horsepower you can buy.

Yep like others have said, power to weight on that mini would be insane. Mini would be good up to about 80mph / 100mph then the M4 would be more in its zone after 80/100
