Three things I take from this video and Lee’s fantastic look at this build is the positive mental attitude, the blockwork is top three or so I’ve ever seen and the bio chamber. The bio chamber is basically confined space work which is a harrowing prospect IF it was done completely one site so I’ll be making life a lot easier for myself by casting the sheets almost up to full height off site then as Lee described binding them to the walls when I’m there then stitching everything together to create to seal. I’ll be bringing my 3M vapour mask to the job because even though I’m making life easier on myself by choosing this method no video can truly show you the eye water vapour build and what it does to your body in such a small space. I’ll explain this fully at the material time. Brilliant build Lee and that block work is a shining example.
Hey Lee Awesome build 👏 👌 putting airstones inside the drains won't work unfortunately even though it would look cool. The airstones need to be above the drain to drag water in to the drain. Can't wait for the final product!
Cracking job on the block work he is the man , nice work Nicky 👍clever idea on the hidden pipe , but if I understand you right Lee, I don’t think your bottom drain with air will work mate , I think the air will just be pushing waste out of the bottom drain , hence why normal aerated bottom drain have the air above the drain , soz mate , stainless steel pipe work ! Interesting 👍😎😎
The drains I’m hoping I won’t need air on in them! So if I don’t I’ll use the SS covers see! Hopefully the pond will run ok with out the spin drifters 😁
@@leehadfield6881 ahh ok bud , just in the vid you said about dropping an air stone in the bottom drain under the covers and I was like whaaat ! But if you can get away with no bd air , all the better 👍😀😎
Well, where do you start. Beautiful job Lee, Nicky the bricky is a legend and certainly knows how to lay a block dude. Plenty to do still which is brilliant. Think about getting some 2” Elbows Stainless Steel rather than boots looking online it looks like they’re available but I wouldn’t be sure how to fix them to create a water tight seal. Just a thought. Great work, great smile and great episode. 💪🏻💪🏻🇯🇵
Good afternoon big brother, looking awesome keep the build videos coming 👍💯 and also u have to come out to NY and then we'll take a trip to Trinidad and Tobago for a couple of days. Fish trip you and the rest of your Ytube family will love it. From your little brother across the pond Sky Lee Boodram.
U can call me on what's app anytime big brother and we can arrange the best time for you to come over and I can organize a 3 day pond visit at some of my friends in Long Island New York and upstate NY
Hi there. Its looks 🔥. Can't wait for the end result. I hope do to the 4 returns . That the first bottom draine sucks up a lot of sludge. Guess we will see. Looking forward to the next episode. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
A thing of beauty is a joy forever! Dogs danglies and great to see your pure joy as she goes up - well done fella from downtown Manhattan, watching when I can’t sleep
Ha-ha !!! The grin on your face when the blocks were finished says it all mate… 🤗 You can see how happy you are so far, and so you should be, its amazing 🤩 Well done and enjoy the build. 😊👍🏼
Love it. I can see the van, Lee and Nicky master pond builders. 👍 I don’t think your bottom drains will work. The air needs to be separate and above the drain, otherwise air will be sucked down the drains and the air that goes to the surface will take some of the debri with it. Bottom drain design drags the muck across the bottom and the separate air column aids that flow. Why don’t you ask the guys at spindrift. I might be talking out my arse.😂
OMG! Everyone needs a Nicky ...... Lee that's going to look mega mate , love it. Window is going to be awesome . Can't wait for next update and seeing Matt come over a glass it up for you . Well done mate 👍
So exciting watching the progress of this koi pond build!!! Love watching all the steps Lee, right from the ground up!!! Big help to us all who want the same thing some day. You can see by your smile how happy you are about this. Your koi will be in for a great treat when they are released into this huge pond you’ve designed and built. 👍🏻
Absolutely pucker, my old mucker, see that rhyms, your mate Nicki is absolutely unreal at how fast and good job on the block work 👏 that is gonna be one huge pond, adding the floor height sounds good and adding strength and reducing the outside look in height, gonna be one cool pond especially with that size window well done.
I had a big smile on my face when I seen it up you must be well please absolutely brill 😀👍. Be careful with the bamboo mate some send runners out and they can come up through concrete even if you but and plant them in a tub so I would stay away from bamboo. Or make sure it’s one the will not grow through your pond floor 👍👍
Nickys done a top job for you there, can't wait to watch the rest of the build, you definitely look like the cat that got the cream lol, looks like you will beat my record for fastest build. Rob.
Hello Lee love the new pond build going to be the dogs bollocks after a bit of advice my koi have developed ulcers have treated with several things scraped the fish found nothing water peramiters all ok any advice would be very much appreciated looking forward to the next video mate great work
Wooo mate! Bird to say but I’m no way the guy to tell you what’s wrong with them!!! Contact your koi dealer he will know way more than me. But hope you get it sorted mate nothing worse 🥲
Goto an exhaust manufacturer they will make you a 2 inch stai less steel pipe with either a 90 bend bent into it or some sore of flexi welded on .. would look awesome
Tell u something budd that's going to be up there with the 👌 best. I'm loving it.brick layer very neat 👌 Top job budd.very clever the set up is going to be. Awesome. Staysafe.
Belting mate top update pond looks HUGE!!!!!! "It is since I met you" Painful, border line Out of order 😂 Funny though, I was like "ohhhhhh no she didn't just say that" 😂 Great vid mate
Looking great mate, back to the stainless pipe I would personally get a engineering company to weld some two inch tube a elbow and spray bar up then hide a rubber boot in your channel so you can’t see any of the rubber boots and it will look Gucci as… 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I wonder if its an electric auto feeder, You could of out your own timer on it, and have another exact same timer on the skimmer than turns it off for 5 mins during each feed, this way the skimmer diet isnt saki hikari lol. Or have an air stone or air line in front of the skimmer that comes on the same time you feed for 5 mins which stops the food being sucked in, either way would work
Nice one Lee 👍 looks 👌 The bricky done bloody well bud 👏. Idea 💡 go a course higher on the block work for skimmer flow plus pond height. 2 inches or 4 inchs? Bet you like the longer idea, more flow rate through skimmer. SS polished pipes grade 316 ( I think) exhaust manufacturers bud, they make it and bend it to how you wish . You can get it in many places through Personally I beef up your area for the window 🪟. Use SS again, feforcement is better maybe! Good luck 👍
Hi Lee Amazing build mate you an Nicky really should get into the pond building business you get the work done and Nicky has done a superb job on that brick work A1 work mate from a fellow Welshy just around the corner from you. Cant wait to see the rest of it coming together ..CLASS IN A GLASS
I am so jealous, awesome build so far. Like others have said, don’t think the air stones in the drain will work, just give you more problems with flow and air being sucked in to the drum…..there is a reason why they sit above the drain and not in it.
I think you're Have problems if you feed your shower straight from your skimmer Shower is a biological not mechanical It will just harbour bad bacteria and parasites . Loveing the pond Build A cracking job 😀👍
That’s some progress mate!! It’s going to look absolutely mega when it’s finished. With the screeding, could you screed from the brick to the edge of the bottom drain all the way down each side front to back? Then when it’s set just fill in the ends to the bottom drains, I’m not sure if it’d work as I’m not a floor layer but I’d have thought it would be a bit easier to screed the full lengths. I can’t wait to see this pond finished mate, it’ll be ready by bank holiday weekend at this rate 👍🏻
@@leehadfield6881 yeah I know buddy I might have misunderstood what you said the way you were going to do it. I can’t wait to see it finished, I keep showing my mrs your videos trying to convince her to let me have one that size 🤣
Looking good Lee you have some top mates helping you out there, really intrigued to see how the one way / bounce back flow works for you im scratching my head on that one but fair play for trying something new
absolutely fantastic mate. i didnt realise how deep you was going, will look awesome. is it matt from Derby coming to do glassing? if so he'll have to give me a lift for my tattoo 😂
