I just put a 4 stage in my 07 si. She was down for 3 years before I daily drove it with a shot 2nd gear. I still have the same trans in it with a choppy 2nd gear. But damn that fucken clutch grabs. That roar reminds me of that k20a baby

@@Jojo-ot7cu shorter ratios give you more acceleration but reduce the top speed in that particular gear, say 4k rpm is 60km/h then you get a shorter gear and now 60km/h is 4500rpm, the gear is shorter, so you rev higher, 500rpm higher in this case. However the torque advantage from a lower gear ratio and being further up in the engine's powerband both work together to give you improved acceleration. The shorter the gear the higher, the revs, the lower the top speed, the quicker the acceleration, same idea as downshifting when you floor it lol

yeah fax, fucking thing blew and I lost speed so fast I was worried about getting rear ended (I was on highway doing like 120 then CLUNK then I was doing 100 and had no trans then bigger cluck and the rears almost locked up
