Thinking of getting a m240, had my scatpack stolen a few months ago and looking to switch it up, always loved the look of Beamers honestly want a M3 but I don’t want to spend that much on a car
You would not regret that decision tbh but just a heads up my boy has a scat pack and compared to my 240 it had so much room the 240 felt like such a small car don’t get me wrong it’s fun but small
@@DS_M550 so far it’s fine but I honestly don’t get on the car too much and do maybe 2 Hard pulls a day in 3rd gear😅 I don’t bang the gears too much either anymore lotta cops where I live as well… but I’m not a huge fan of the way the clutch engages either especially on fast shifts it isn’t as smooth or seamless as I would like. But then again my dad owns an ND Miata and I have a friend with a Cayman and those are some of the best feeling cars ever
@@DS_M550 I guess nobody sells carbon trims for 2018+ F22. Mine is blacked out from the outside and would be dope to do the same w/ the interior since mine came w white/silver trims 😞
@@joebertmendoza7479 yeah bro mine is that silver trim under the vinyl too but I think there is some black like Alcántara trim you can get but it’s madddd expensive lmao
man i have a 370 low miles manual im the second owner minty i’m still paying it off but fuck i want a m240i so bad i’m so tempted to trade it in but ik they’ll fuck me im tryna finish paying it offfff my god😭
Yeah bro factory screen but I did have to code it to make the CarPlay actually full screen and the radar detector is a Uniden R3 and I love it honestly. Works really good and has saved me plenty of times 😂
Not even gonna lie I have a draggy at home just never used it so I honestly have no clue what my 60-130 is I haven’t measured it yet I’ll have to soon tho
That’s really tough, An OG M2 is a true M car and is probably the more engaging car to drive being it’s more so track focused but the 240 is definitely still a lot of fun and fast in a straight line
But also the B58 in the 240 is very reliable and very easy to work on and get power out of I think that alone is why a lot of people choose the M240 over a M2
@@DS_M550 I'm in a pretty good position to answer that. I had an M140i for 4 years, and spent a lot of money tuning it to 455bhp/634nm, brake upgrades etc. The B58 is a brilliant engine, and the ZF8 once you have xHP3 installed, is an amazing gearbox. But no matter how much you spend upgrading, it is still basically a 118i/218i m sport chassis with a hot engine. I now own an OG M2. It is on another level. Yes it's noisy (they don't put sound deadening in them so you hear everything), yes the ride is very firm, yes the DCT is jerky around town.... But, when you want to go a bit quicker, it is levels above an M Lite seriously. The steering is so much better, it actually has feeling, the damping is unreal, no more pogo like the M140i, it just settles instantly and never feels overwhelmed. The cornering is just wow, obviously the diff makes a difference, but the wide track and wider tyres also. The DCT is brilliant when you're pushing on. Every drive feels like a special event. The M140i was very comfortable, and 'nice', and a straight line missile, but it could have had 900bhp and still wouldn't see which way my M2 went on a twisty road.
