5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' with the 'Shap Mountaineer' followed by 34067 'Tangmere' with the 'Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express' at Shap Wells on 16th.March 2024
Austin, Superb video definition and camerawork. The Earl certainly won the Battle of Shap as Tangmere was resorting to a huge shove from the rear. Regards, John
Cracking shots Austin, great to see the Castle returning to Shap and sounding great then a disappointing performance with the 47 giving it all behind Tangmere, cheers 👍
Excellent video Austin, love the long shots you get at Shap, 5043 seemed to put in a great performance. Which is also a rare visit to these parts. Regards James
@@acw71000 I was at the Lancs yesterday, getting Gresley, Britannia and Leander. It's was a good day filming, sunshine in the morning, dull in the afternoon
I was onboard the tour hauled by the castle and she certainly put on an amazing show that day. From realtime trains timings 34067 arrived in Carlisle just 4 minutes after 5043 had arrived. Incase your wondering why the tour was running so late it was because a passenger had to be taken off in Preston as they had just had a heart attack so we needed to wait for an ambulance to arrive, apparently the air ambulance was involved. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oXibOnDvEMo.htmlsi=WCfzoBh-GTfqMl74
Just 7 passenger carrying coaches and I understand tickets were available on the day for what VT call 'Tourist Class'. You'd think it would have been more popular
