For more information about Dorsey Trailer click here www.dorseytrail... For New SuperTruckerDan merchandise shop.spreadshi... I had to make an unexpected repair to the air lines connecting to the trailer.
Bailey is such a cool pup. Love how he taps your shoulder and is also such a camera proud 🐕 pup. Always in his good side too. Rest well and can't wait til the next video Dan. Have a good Father's Day Weekend.
Dan, commend you for taking the time and effort to keep the Kitty running smoothly and keeping up on all of the "little things". A clean truck is a safe, reliable rig that makes you top $$. Keep safe out there and enjoy your home time - and keep cool too.
I have found that if I put a capful of dish soap into the windshield washer bottle it sure helps to remove bug splatter, as the dish soap cuts grease and other road stuff, Dave
Be safe going home another good video in the life of an owner operator. Love how Bailey puts her paw 🐾 on your shoulder. Always something to do on a truck that's why it's so interesting !
That sucks. Had it happin to me in 18 below in the middle of of a hugh dock area. That was fun. Lol i went back to the heavy rubber ones at my cost. Be safe .
YOU are a rare individual! You actually have tools. Those two cresent wrenches will save your butt alot of time. When I drove I even kept a 1 inch air gun and a tire plug kit. I know we are all weight concerned, but the more tools the better. I always kept a bunch of lights, glad hands gloves, mirrors etc. Safe travels
I am one of two class 8 drivers in a company. We have 100 or so F650’s but only 2 semis. The President of the company came to visit one day. He asked the VP who’s truck is that pointing to mine. VP said it’s mine, he could tell by the air lines and electrical lines, I am OCD on how they look at all times. Not sure why but just one of my quirks. You need one of those CB mic retractable cables for Bailey’s leash, attach it to the rub rail lol.
Greetings from Alaska. I think once you get used to the handles you’ll like them, I run them on my trucks and it keeps my hands off the tubing. Happy Trails!
As a matter of interest, UK went from Palm to "C" couplings as they were more reliable. Trailer twisting, (we are MUCH closer coupled the U.S. due to max length), causes damage so many now use a swivel arm mounted near the fifth wheel coming towards the front so that as you turn the arm moves with the trailer, so no pulling.
Dan- check this auxiliary oil filter out. It could save you lots of $$$ on oil changes, it does for me. It could also help extend the life of that brand new engine.
WOW have been watching your videos starting back at vlog #1 I notice right from day one you seem to attract a huge number of grammer professors. Must be great to be perfect, not something I will ever need to worry about. KEEP ON KEEPIN ON YOU ARE #1
Dan, I love the way you keep your truck clean as possible (like showroom clean this video) and are so proactive about maintenance.. definitely a truck for life imo. Cheers, ed.
Trucking with Schmidt suggested checking out your channel. I have enjoyed it so I subscribed. Keep up the good work. I live just south of I-70 near the Flint Hills of Kansas.
Really enjoyed this video about your maintenance tips.I like the rubber hoses, especially in balmy Wisconsin's winter. But if you can take your old plastic hoses apart and from your dealer get the ferrule and parts just to replace that cracked end.Really a faster cheaper fix.The parts, get doubles, they will fit in a Sucrets tin box.Why doubles? In case you drop parts in the dark, don't ask how I know.
Hi Dan and Bailey, Have a good trip home to relax and get the snake shovel out. You might find a quart size rectangular plastic bottle, cut the bottom off to use as an offset funnel, keep the cap, put a clean towel in it and put in a gallon zip bag for use next time you have a hard to reach filler. There are also gallon jug adapters to a clear plastic hose you might get at a trip to Walmart.
Really enjoy your videos! You have a great attitude in the reality of trucking, not always easy! I was an o/o in the 90s, local stuff here in N. California, as a sub hauler it became a bit of feast or famine at the end, be I miss it a bit! Yes,, its an illness that sticks with ya! Lol keep the great attitude! Be safe! And thanks for the entertaining vidoes!
Hey Dan, why don't you run you air and light cord and dump out the rear of your truck, and under the trailer. Open's up the deck plate, and you should use the old school black hose. Did that to mine years ago have not replaced anything. Thought you were a super trucker, lol. Keep on truck'in.
If you take a quart size oil bottle and cut the top 2 inches off of it, you will have an off-set funnel that you can use to get every drop of that windshield washer fluid into that reservoir. Waste not, want not.
Those heavy duty grips for on the air lines work really well. I won’t put new lines on without them. They do stop the lines from cracking at the fitting.
Has there been videos on this channel I have missed? I check it 10 times a day for new videos. Is it still active but most important I hope things are well ith Dan & family.
I've been using rubber air lines between the truck and trailer for years. Never had a problem, they're way more durable. They come together with the electric umbilical all wrapped in a in a spiral sheath, you can step all over them, don't get brittle in the cold.
Get that stainless upper n lower hose made at exhaust shop, it’ll cost you a fraction. You’ll be shocked when you find out what those pipes cost... FYI
Safe travels home. Hope to see some of that great scenery and road footage you always provide with your music selection, listening to the Pete and your commentary along the way.
Hello Dan I love the glasses buddy you have some style my friend and thank you for the airlines 101 that is some interesting stuff you and Bailey have a blessed trip and come home safely.
Hey Dan . Hope things are going well I have been watching your Chanel for awhile now and really enjoy it. I just recently went back to vlog#1 interesting to see the younger Trucker Dan. You hit a home run right from the very first one. Curious though what made you decide to start a vlog in the first place ? I live in Woodstock New Brunswick ,Canada I am 13 miles from the U.S border at Houlton ,Maine. I find this a great way to see the many different parts of America that you travel through thanks again Anyway great video as usual keep up the good work. Travel safe and keep your stick on the ice. Jerry
@Dominick253 that last year & a half didn’t slow me down 1 damn bit, this crap I hear, welcome back America is bullshit, it nor I have went anywhere to be welcomed back. I just didn’t play the GAME!!!!
Baily sure loves her dad and looks like a great companion. Just wondering did you deadhead to Mississippi or do you still have those airplane engine cradles still on? Happy Father's Day Dan. Enjoy your trip home. Looking forward to your next video.
The reason it broke was from putting the gladhand on and off we used to go through at least 1 set of hoses a year when I drove truck with my big paws I was allways grabing the spring to put the air lines on
I enjoy the trucking videos . Not a trucker myself so Im not sure of all the rules or laws . If youre driving the truck empty, not working . Just trying to get home like Dan is doing here , are you still required to abide by the time limits for both driving and working ?
Thanks for watching Yes even empty heading home I still have to fallow the DOT rules. The reason being is even empty it is still considered a commercial vehicle.
