Wow! I've been using coconut oil and loving it too. But you are the first person that's ever explained why it works! It's no wonder the beautiful ladies of the islands have such long gorgeous hair. I use extra virgin cold pressed CO on my skin as well as it is a natural sunscreen. AND I cook with it! :-) wonderful stuff.

Hey, been following u for a while and wanted to tell u you are the reason I(and this channel) that I went ahead and tried tape ins last May. I have had them since (2 removals and 1new set) . Tape ins have literally changed my life, omg. They are soneasy to style, so easy to curl or straighened its amazing, what a confidence booster!

Hi! Thank you so much!! I would suggest to use Remy hair for tape ins - bc will be washing your extensions a lot more this way that with clip ins. I am obsessed with Organix Coconut Serum. The trick to this (or any serum) is to put 2 pumps on before you blow dry and 2 more pumps before you flat iron. The heat mixed with the serum really helps make the extensions soft and silky...

U helped me be brace enough to do tape ins.. Just started with a few .. Wow.. Thanks because of you I am ready for longer hair.. I am a two time B/cancer surivor.. So I have thin hair now and will not grow.. I am so happy I found you girl

i use coconut oil to take mine out! lol i put it all over my hair massaging it into the weft are and my ends and leave it on for about 30 minutes it takes my tape ins right out and gives my hair an amazing treatment all in one :)

I just soak the weft in warm water then I shampoo that area, super easy! :) I just happen to have a lot of coconut oil on hand so it seemed cheaper to me than buying solvent :) olive oil works just as well and if im out of either I use veggie oil :p even conditioner works if you leave it on long enough :) I have to do mine every 3-4 weeks to maintain my roots so I take them out quite frequently so it's a cheap alternative for me:)

That's the reason why I wear tape ins because it actually makes me be able to wear my hair naturally and not have to use heat on it :) but your totally right! It takes all day to dry close to the scalp! Thanks for another super helpful video :)

I love your videos! I'm a subscriber and a faithful follower of yours. I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 20 years now and when I went to hair school there was no such thing as tape in extensions, so obviously I had no formal training. I am pretty much self taught after watching my stylist install mine for a couple years and then having her teach me how. I've also watched RU-vid a lot for more education and I just have to tell you; I have learned so much from your videos and you're my favorite. I love your real life advice and you're so down to earth! One thing Id love for you to do a video on is some tips/tricks on how to get tape ins to LAST as long as possible on clients with really oily hair and scalp. I use the same technique for all my clients except with oily/thick haired clients, I take even smaller skinnier sections of their hair to apply the extensions to but it never fails...that at least one or two wefts will slide out their first time shampooing at home. I fix them for free of course but it is inconvenient for my clients and doesn't exactly drum up business. What is your favorite tape brand? I'm curious if a little talc powder or dry shampoo applied to the hair sections prior to applying the tape, if that would help. I don't want to experiment on a client though and have it become gummy. I only had that idea because when I wax clients facial areas, I apply just a little talcum powder right after cleaning the skin with alcohol to make sue ALL the skin's oil is gone. BTW Great answer on the hair color question. You are absolutely right. Tell your clients to color their hair with extensions out an to color the extensions separately. The extensions don't color the way natural hair does, and one main reason is the heat from the scalp is not there. They may even have to use a different level of color all together to blend and look natural. Usually you need like one shade lighter on the extensions because color on color pulls darker. Also, ladies NEVER color synthetic hair...it is not real hair and does not work at all. Anyways, PLEASE HELP! And thanks again...I'll be waiting for your advice.

If you get the skin weft tape ins you can do a slick bun. I dry my hair naturally and it dries pretty quick.

Good point - yes this method with the "Sandwich" way really helps if you want to do more tight buns and higher up-do's...

Yes, it does - lol wish it didn't - but you can still air dry - which is nice. Just a splash of heat around the weft after the rest is air dried and ta-da...all dry! :) xo!

Show us how you sleep with your extensions!!! lol. I've been wearing tape ins for 5 yrs now and my hair has grown so much. I do actually do hair treatments with conditioners, but not by my roots. Never had a problem. Yr advice is spot on though. Thanks for your videos.

Hello I have a similar question ad Sasha below. I am planning to do tape in extensions, however, I go to hot yoga very frequently. Where I sweat lots and the temperature is (105 degrees F and 40 degrees C).

Hi, so I've seen every one of your tape in hair extension videos, and I have to say they are amazing. You have given me so much more information than just researching on the web has. I want to use clip in extensions and remove the clips and apply the tape to them, but I am nervous that after a few washes the extensions will get SO dry and brittle. That has happened to me before and its quite frustrating. Do you have any products you could recommend that keep your extensions soft and healthy?

I'm waiting on my tape to come in the mail and I've watched your videos over and over!! I'm doing tape in for the first time!! I bought 100% human hair and I bought Cinderella Hair shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner.. My question is, is that a good brand of hair product to use with my tape in extensions?? I am going to try some of your hair extensions my next time I do my tape in.. Please any tips or etc for me.. I am for the first time using Onyx 100% human hair just for my first time.. Hi! I love the Healthy, Sexy Hair Shampoo and Conditioner - it is Sulfate Free and works so well at keeping my extensions soft and silky. Also the other two products I can't live without - Organix Anti-Breakage Serum in Coconut (2 pumps before blow drying and two more pumps before flat ironing) and John Frieda Style Revival Heat Activated Styling Spray (heat protectant and detangler)...lovvve those. Hi Christy! So I just ordered a roll of the 1 inch walker tape from your ebay store, got it today I I think its too big!!! I wanted to fold the tape over top of the weft like u mentioned in a previous video but I think its too wide. Do you think this will work or would the 3/4 inch be better???

I bought Sassy Hair from SallyBeauty, I washed my hair today, with a tiny bit of shampoo, and conditioner at the ends. I even used leave in conditioner after the shower. Now the ends of my extensions are EXTREMELY frizzy. I don't know what to do, I feel like I ruined them and yours looks so nice. What do you use on your hair? Help what should ):

Hi - so sorry for delay! I love John Frieda Full Repair Heat Activated Styling Spray and Coconut Milk Serum by Organix...those two products really help my extensions stay soft and silky. Make sure you use the serum before you blow dry and flat iron...

No problem for the delay so I've started using the coconut milk and I also use split end repair. I tried that Organix 30 day straight... but it only worked for a day and it did make them feel brand new! Thank you so much! (: And my last question would be... Do you know what ethnicity your hair is? (I think thats what it's called) I thnk I need a new brand because mine is super thick coarse and wavy with black hairs running in it. And little tiny beads at the end. It's really gross and I don't' use too much heat and I always use heat protectant. Plus the hair is ALMOST 2 months old.

After you take off the hair extensions, can you reuse them? Like, buy new tape, and remove the old?

Sorry for the delay - but yes, you definitely can peel off old tape and add new. If you use an oily remover - you will want to wash the weft area first and dry completely before adding new tape. Depending on what tape you use, the weft area will still be a bit sticky - but that is ok - that helps the new tape adhere even better. :)

I know it's a little late but...Don't waste your money at Sally's..they sell junk hair. look terrible after first shampoo. Plus it's too expensive for such a crappy product. My favorite all time extensions are called BOMBSHELL, I've had mine in for almost two years(of course I take them out and move them up every 6 weeks)and they still look like brand new healthy shiny hair; they are out of California so you have to order them. I'm not sure if you have to be licensed to order Bombshells but if you do, private message me and I will give you my professional card code. They run about $200 for two bags of hair for licensed stylists but if they're too expensive try Amazon an look for 5 stars They have some decent ones and actually I order my tape from Amazon too. It's awesome stuff. Hope that helps!

Yeah - you technically could - but it is just really risky. It would be necessary to hold your taped area the whole time - which could get a little tiresome...lol
