Yes for sure - but you would want to add 2-3 top coats for protection :)

Do you have to get rid of the sticky layer? Also, can you use regular polish with a gel topcoat coat instead?

The top coat is tack =free - so no need to remove. And yes if you want to use polish with gel over it - it should work - but I haven't tried it.

I'm having trouble achieving the mirror look with chrome power deluxe set. I followed all instructions to the tee, I am however is curing the chrome with a 12w LED lamp. Could be the problem please help!

Hi! Try different lengths of cure time for the gel top. Your lamp may require only 30 seconds or even up to 90s...

So if it doesn't work on regular nail polish is it possible to make it work on the gel nail polishes that are sold without the need of the led light? Like the gel finish nail polishes?

It will work - but you will need the top coat to be UV gel - the top clear coat of those make the result very un-smooth. :(

If you get a water based top coat, it will work! there is one on Amazon that's actually cheap too.

Is there a reason why the two videos I've watched on the chrome powder, both have used a no wipe top coat with it? I've ordered some of the powder, but I just have regular gel top coat. Do I need to order some no wipe?

Yes I would - it works so beautiful on no wipe and not very smooth/pretty with regular gel top coat. If you don't have the no wipe version - you can take a cotton pad and firmly wipe off the tacky layer. Just make sure you get it all off. :)

Hi - you can do Nexgen first and gel over with the chrome. It won't work without gel...

well i tried it but my results were subpar i scrubbed vertically and in circles for 2 mins and it lookes like glitter its cute just not at all what i paid for

Aww I am so sorry to hear that. Make sure the gel top is dry - if it's coming out glittery - it isn't dry below. Test your lamp with different curing times. All lamps can vary a bit as well as how thick of a coat is put on...

+Brooke Katz if it's "non-uv" it's not gel. That's the whole point of shellac/no chip, that it cures under a light. you can do it wth regular nail polish it just has to be done with water based top coat. It will NOT have the same longevity or effect though.
