Bottom line, be happy with your first mansion because very few people get to update it! Looks ok today, but the bad thing about modern artsy, in 5-10 years all of this will have to be redecorated and rehabbed because it will look so dated! The mansions of some of the stars from the 90's and early 2000's, are selling their mansions now because what it would cost to rehab it, would almost be the price of a new mansion! I am talking stainless appliances, removing carpet, wood beams, and dark old fashioned wood everywhere, and oh my God, to make it an open concept, which everyone wants now, would cost! I am not knocking this mansion like I said, it looks great! We all have different taste! But you get one of the old world rust belt mansions or Gilded Age and it would look amazing. Of course, there was a time when even those became old and crappy looking and in need of repair! So, someone bought them, came in and put wall to wall shag carpet all over the place, painted bright white coats over the gold etched woodwork and fire places, sealed the pocket doors with cheap drywall, put in new colored appliance's (now out of vogue) and thought it was fantastic! It's all a circle, fads, trends, pop culture! But in the end, they keep you changing and trying to keep up, which is why some folks buy a new car every 5 years. Your old one still get's you around, but the new one, looks, well, newer! Lol! And people put so much pressure on you with the question "what year is that?"
