You got the oil treatment, but viewers received the benefit of finding our what might occur prior to venturing into the project. The venting issue is something to be pondered. Without venting the operation might be affected by pressure or vacuum, outcomes possibly not friendly to the function of a hydraulic system. Will be interesting to find out what is discovered.
