Triggered me incredibly hard at the start. With XL2566K it's just a single button click from the S-witch to get DyAc+ and a more bright game profile. Where as with ASUS monitors, two button presses to get ULMB2 on and 3 more to get the correct profile 💀
@@hausgaming I'm not the market for these ultra monitors...but honestly if I was looking at spending $ like that for 500hz I'd probably just grab Zowies new one that's coming.
@@ching8733I just watched a video about Oled tech and it is really promising. I wonder if what you are referencing is the oled tech where they will stack 2 oled panels on top of eachother allowing them to increase the lifespan of the pixels by 4x and decrease burn in by dropping the power per pixel. With a double layer panel, I assume the pixels could be organized in a manner where you can have all of them on at the same time for 4k res, or have them handle every other frame for 1080p 480hz. If this works well maybe they will even be able to do 4 panel layers and quickly jump to a monitor that offers 1080p 1,000hz, 4k 500hz, and 8k 250hz. I feel like this type of monitor could even have some fancy Nvidia/AMD tech that allows the monitor to seamlessly transition between high resolution, high brightness and and high refresh workflows. It shouldn’t be too difficult for the GPU to recognize if it is serving an 8k video or a 1080p 500+fps videogame.
The ULMB works fine you just have to setup it like they said on the website Step 1. In the NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings, under "Global Settings" -> "Restore" settings. Next, disconnect the power cable from the monitor, reconnect the power cable, and power on the monitor. Step 2. In the NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings, under "Global Settings" -> Monitor Technology: Set a "fixed refresh" . Step 3. Change the resolution settings to a "refresh rate" of 500Hz or higher, and ULMB2 can be configured successfully. Step 4. Launch the gaming software or any related software that supports ULMB.
it actually worked, thanks! been having this problem since I got the monitor for 3years ago.. asus XG27AQM. I thought I could use gsync and ulmb sync simultaneously
dont force ulmb in the nvidia driver (leave it at gsync) then it wont switch off anymore when u tab to desktop. the driver setting doesnt work properly with the monitor atm.
yeah, I mean you have to upgrade the setup at some point. This monitor doesn't have even dyac or black equalizer. Maybe it is a waste cuz had my skill peak 2020 when i played more. Still top 1% tho on cs2 premier but i dont consider myself as a good player on my scale. Maybe the upgrade is waste maybe not.
@@Ico938 They're going to give them to most pros for free so … kind of true but for most (baller) casuals the OLED is a much better option virtually almost the same experience as the 500hz with better viewing experience for single player games and media consumption
Can’t believe a 1080p TN doesn’t have a sharpness setting on a 1000 dollar monitor. Playing 1280x960 4:3 on cs2 is too blurry without a sharpness feature.
Can u make a video on your new main mouse. Im still on the m42. However i want to try lamzu Atlantis mini, pulsar x2v2 mini, pulsar x2h mini, and endgame op1ew. Which mouse is closest to m42? Do you still main m42?
Does the PG248QP also support higher resolution at less Hz? For example, can I play CS2 at FHD (1920x1080) 540hz and then close the game, change the resolution to HQD (2560 x 1440) and use less Hz? 360hz for example (not overclocked) or less such as 240hz or even 60hz?
@@joshuasims1299 where it wins ? it have only 54 percent of refresh rate of response time at max hx it means it works only good at 300 hz motion.. and u need ULMB oled no need for ULMB it have better motion clarity.. 240hz oled is 500hz tn with no ulmb.. 480 oled is like 960hz tn or 700hz tn with ULMB.
most arena fps are easy to run at 500+ fps, too. Exept for quake champions pretty much any game in that genre you can get enough fps even on older hardware. In warfork for example i easily reach the 1000 fps cap on my 7 year old PC and in Diabotical I just have to turn down the render scale a bit and than i get 500 fps, too.
Great review. I bought the same monitor few days ago but after only 2 days of use I noticed it developed some weird dark spots in the middle of the screen. These are visible when I'm displaying a black background and slightly on gray, not visible on other colors. Could you please check yours and let me know if you are having the same issue?
Ulmb2 turning off when alt tabbing is fixable u jiat need to play around with sum windows display settings/gpu display settings, and i solves that issue, dont ask me how tho i can't remember, it was annoying bit fixed now
I have the opportunity to buy this monitor at 850 Euro brand new, but I already own the XG27AQMR thats 300hz IPS 1440p. I don't play CS/OW/VAL/R6S. The only game I play where I can achieve those frames is BF4 (Operation Locker map only), I run a 12700k with an RTX 4080. Also started playing The Finals quite a lot, but that game still needs more optimization. I could also buy the monitor and return it in 14 days just to try it out. I also owned the XL2566k and PG27AQN.
Which of those Monitors you find you had the best experience with? I also have the AQMR right now, which i enjoy a lot ower the PG27aqn, because of the Sharpening Setting which wasnt available at the PG - quiet annoying tbh.
I don’t have the alt tab issue you have. Perhaps you have some strange settings. Have this and xl2566k. Stand on this one is way better and less wide which allows you to have the mousepad and keyboard closer to each other without pulling the monitor further away. 3k elo faceit
It's a general issue, not regards to settings. Many folks have the same problem. No shot you actually have the 2566k if you think this stand is better 😄
Why do you think the zowie stand is better? Most of the base is in front of the monitor itself while on the Asus it is behind. It just leaves more room in the front.@@hausgaming
xl2566k owner here, if you dont mind, can you explain, have you felt difference, which is better, basically short comparison between monitor in video and xl2566k? thx
What setting do you put it at for best picture? Do you have some general ones I can change to make it look better? Like racing then brightness contrast like what do you have them set at for best picture. I’ve been having a hard time trying to find a sweet spot
