That sounds great. That car is a two lane black top, asphalt eating, license losing machine. Have fun, but know it's red line and your bottom line. Lol. Really glad you're getting what you wanted. Well deserved.
When you got it just barely running and were just about out of battery power it was like a scene from that old movie "The Flight of the Phoenix." And the 55 "flew" after all. Well done.
I love my small blocks but dang the big block sound is it's own. Dani! Not only are you adorable but you find leaks spot on! You are a true motorhead's dream. Dan!.. you're a lucky man. Love the car
Your channel has been quite inspiring over the last few years - I followed right after I bought a 69' Barracuda. Heading to look at a 55' in the morning. Small block, though I'm thinking of big block in the future.
Great build series Love all the hard work My 2 cents 454 with 400-500 hp 275 wide tire lifted front suspension BB. 600-800 + hp narrow rear end (all wheel disc) tilt front end gasser front axel Early nascar minimum roll cage no rear seat / I’d seal below the package tray to floor of car so now the entire trunk is open like the front of the car (no spare) modern fuel pump regulator and filter unit a large but vintage looking gas tank It’s a beaut of a tri 5 Oh under dash pro modern master and booster The brackets and mounts for engine and tranny, to remove unbolt slide forward then lift up, like endurance racing quick pull and replace and your off
@@DDSpeedShopnice engine.... still not enough HP .. Start thinking like an American.... South of border my friend....the seat don't get set until the Dyno says 901..... You kinda messed up on the black widow....it should have been 700hp
sounds good that is all the power it needs to have fun with the boys on a Saturday night love it the sound of that cam gonna be one bad motha when finished
Dan, Daniel my brother! She sounds wicked!! .. What a nice engine! You done good. That smile on your face says it all, and it's great to see. I can't wait to see you driving it. It's a great car. Congrats buddy, I'm so happy watching this. God bless you, Danni and Murr too! Signed - Your friend always, the Cancer guy! 😊
Dan, I am excited for you guys. That thing sounds positively wicked! A guy I was introduced to when I entered the "hotrod" world was famous for saying How much money do you have when asked how fast he could make your car. Good to see you grinning from ear to ear! Cheers!
I am always amazed at what you choose to put your money into. I guess that means you really love this car because of what it means to you. I can relate!
Just that smile says it all Dan. You drinking in the exhaust sounds of that lumpy cammed big block is exactly what this channel has been building up to over the years. Sure it's stupidly expensive but that's what reliable performance is about, you pay more to get more without it blowing to bits on a burnout. You have more views in a half day than the number of subscribers you had only a couple years ago, well done Dan and Danni!
WOW! Dan and Dani for the win! That motor sounds beefy.👌👌👌.kudos to John and Cecil as well. If I lived closer (currently Colorado, USA) they'd be building me a motor, too. Another awesome job by all!
That’s the first time I have seen Dan existed it’s grate to see all the hours working and filming has payed off that hot rod is going to fly. Dan try to hold on to your licence 😂😂😂
That engine sounds great! It's going to be hard to keep your foot out of it. Your drivers license is in jeopardy with that kind of power but boy is it going to be fun. 😀😀😀.
Dan, I've got a healthy 454/th400 in my 57. PMGR starter turns it over great. I use starter with offset bolt attachment vs inline attachment, I think it's a stronger setup. Also suggest a 40,000 GVW cooler size so your transmission will live, especially if there's any sort of converter in it. I know everybody does LS, nothing wrong with that, but I've had that BBC in the car since 1987. Just did a fresh rebuild, I'd never change it. Except for a bigger big block😃 Looking forward to further DDSS adventures with your car.
I'm so glad you gave the 55 the love it deserves sounds good it's alot like my 427 well it's 0.60 over so it's a 439 and you have a 462 with about 12 to 1 compression I have 11 to 1 but I have a hydraulic roller and I'm changing it to a solid roller that's a good bit different.. I'm getting ready to call John at delta pag to make me a fan shroud with 2 fans the fans I had were cheap and instead of buying other fans that they say are 2100 cfm each and trying them and if they don't do the job I'll be out of that money so I'll just go with what's been proven to work when you hit that peddle on that big block making that power your going to crap on yourself ive had big blocks that made pretty good power over the years but my 439 really pulls hard 661 hp 605 torque and it pins you back in the seat really good I want you to point the gopro at yourself the first time you drop the hammer I want to see your face...lol like I said your going to crap on yourself can't wait to see you make a hit.
Enjoying the sales frenzy videos.. the wife & I watch them every time a new one comes out..Please continue...and we do not agree with some of your listeners...Danny is a great distraction to 100% Dan content...Do what your doing and please video your new home search and move...we just moved from Texas to North Carolina...45 years of marriage...we love your channel...
Man what a beast of a motor. Dan it sounds fantastic. I’m sure it sounds much better in person, always sounds different on videos. Little more fine tuning and put that beast on the road. 👍😎✌️
I just asked my husband what you were putting in the carburetor and before he could answer Dan says he's putting gasoline in. 😆 😂 Perfect timing! Good video peeps! 👏
Hi Dan .. you can grind down the steering box if you adjust it first then take it down with an angle grinder .. makes a little difference .. I did it with speedway big block headers and they fit a lot better ..
