Finally !!!!
We were looking forward to this one!! We will finally have much less dust on the night side now that the slab is poured, and we will be able to move forward!
It was with the CPM company that we worked and who sent us a happy team of Portuguese mountains to take care of the site, apparently it is only in Portugal that they have the technique for this type of slab.
Not only is it reinforced with very large welded mesh called ST50, but they have also added fiber to the tops, so if the mas collapses, the slab will remain!
One day to place the scrap metal and one day to pour the slab, for an area of 168 m² (living rooms + covered terrace + workshop).
Unlike the night side where we had had a first concrete slab made followed by a liquid screed, there we only had a low height (10 cm max) so we had to start on a reinforced slab then passed to the helicopter to be able to stick the tiles directly on it.
Our fear was the weight constraint on the arches just below, but everything went well and normally, the more weight there is on the arches, the more they solidify (that's the theory!)
The result is magnificent, the second and last part of our house is taking shape, we will then have the gîtes, the reception room, the park and perhaps the restaurant (still under study...).
