I'm old enough to remember Doug's Headers and Doug Thorley from back in the late 60's to early 70's. Still in business. What an amazing opportunity for you, bet you learned a lot!
I dumped cable TV a while ago because everything was crap. I think I have gone back and watched all of your videos, I can't pick one that was not entertaining. I think I like them because it's easy to see you enjoy what do and not what some producer thinks we they know what we enjoy. I wish I could afford to send you more than complements. Thank you for sharing!
I think Merlin is the best MacGyver on the planet And his cousin Paul is 100% right behind him Merlin and family stay safe your wonderful people it’s a cruel cruel world out here be safe and try to stay cool I’m just wondering what the animals do must be horrible for them😥
Once again,Merlin the original OG fabricator, has pulled a few more rabbits out of his magic 🎩. Thanks for taking us subscribers along for the ride. Love the Porsche build. Love the channel. Keep up the great work. ✌️👍🤙🤙🍀🍀🍀🍀🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🪄🪄🪄🪄.
Man Merlin,,, the stories are phenomenal! It’s gonna be legit, just the fact you take a step back and re-do the minor things that catch the eye! Enjoy all the content.
After many years as a fabricator building drag cars the Porsche 550 Spyder is the one car I would love to build for myself from a bare body, exactly like you're doing here. Modern brakes and such but still just a simple fun car with wider chromed wide five steelies and wider rubber. A "Little Bastard" clone with candy tangerine paint and no stripes, orange is my color, real challenge would be to flake, or not to flake? My issue is, I'd be going for perfection and it would never be finished, so I'm enjoying this build a lot! I love what you do and enjoy the videos immensely, so many tips and tricks, you've taught this old dog a few things for sure. I especially like your efforts to get the younger generations to recognize and appreciate the skills and want to build things too. Us old school guys aren't gonna be around forever so passing our knowledge down is paramount! With that I'll say keep up the good work sir, stay safe.
What a gift to wake up and see another update on the Porsche mid week. That thing is coming along nicely. I can’t wait to see Fireman Joe going for his first ride with you Merlin. What a blessing to have a mid week fix from you to help get my day started. Keep up the good work! ❤❤❤
That sounds awesome! I was in agreement on the stainless resonators! :) The audio was hard to hear on your mini truck test, but on the actual engine? Thumbs up!
I love the diversity of vehicles and stuff you work on. I wished I would have known of you when I was at lake havasu a few years ago and stopped by to see you. I'm from Nashville Tennessee
Merlin, you're truly a fabricating magician! All of your builds are special and built, Merlin Tuff! This Porsche will be no different, and anyone would be proud to own it! Cool video, catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
Gonna be 90+ degrees in Provo, UT today and I don't even want to go outside. 120+ degrees in the shade at your place and glad you have a cooler place inside to work.
This is such a cool project! My Uncle had one of these cars and it really was sweet. I was so little and I remember it was like getting into an airplane cockpit. It was not fancy inside it felt more like a machine for work. I felt really cool when we were out driving around in that car.
I love how cousin Paul is like we are going to build this motor and go whoop on Merlin. I’m like ummm Paul, Merlin is YOUR engine guy. Good luck with all that. Way too much experience in that garage to get whooped by a whipple.
OH WOW! That sounds like a real brute. We used to sell Doug's back in the 60s when I was selling speed equip. Didn't know she got the mine 'n he got the shaft. 😠 Then I went welding. Wish I knew about you when I worked on Joe City, St John's, n PaloVerde. I'd a sure come looked for you. Really enjoy the channel. Got a A Bone friend watching now he started with the cross country A trip. We're retired here in beautiful SC. Thanks for sharing. 🤔😎🤎🇺🇲👍
M. My dad long time ago in his auto body shop (did a lot of old time repairs-LEAD not Bondo)on customer's vehicles. His motto for project completion: " just do at least one hour work every day, even if it is just polishing chrome while watching TV. Your project. When broken down to list of small jobs, the BIG job will get done". Great watching your videos-thanks gw
This build is one of your most interesting, Merlin... in my opinion, of course. That will be a fun car when it's done! What color are you planning to paint it? James Dean silver? Arrest me red? 😊
