Hey mate, this is probably the best roller shutter repair video on RU-vid, let's hope the algorithm gods smile upon you soon I have a couple of questions: 1. At what point do you have to throw out spring fasteners? 2. What is the service life of an L10 battery powered motor 3. What are the common causes of a motor not wanting to turn? Cheers!
Haha thanks 🤩 I hope so 🙌🏻 Unless the spring is split it should be ok. Can even technically reuse it if it snaps just use the spare hole. (But would have to do that for all of them L10 battery motor lasts many years but depends usage. Maybe 10-15 years or more. Batteries around 5 years. Test it by hooking up your drill battery to the wall terminals
I swear I have the same roller door on my garage here in Germany. I’ve just bought the house, the door was temperamental to say the least, and today it’s gone all the way up and over on itself. Any tips? Thanks a million.
If you’ve got room on the side yeah just take out the rivets to the connecting springs, lift all the slats up and over the axle, then slide out any slats. You’ll just have to remove the little end clips

@@rollerdoorsmy friend, I just completed repairing my ancient “WinBlock” shutter over my balcony slider for about $$50 bucks. Bought the “springs” online, a pop rivet gun and the correct rivets, followed your tutorial (wishing like hell I had Viking Arms!), adjusted the limit switch, and boom, like new again. Huge thanks!
