Two Hampshire walks in one with this figure of eight walk around the Hampshire market town of Petersfield and the surrounding South Downs National Park countryside. Take the short walk around the town and Heath Pond or carry on to explore the countryside around Buriton and Nursted with great views of Butser Hill and the Queen Elizabeth Country Park.
Famous people with links to Petersfield are, Miranda Hart, Mark Owen, John Wyndham, Richard Churcher, Erika Roe and last but certainly not least John (Portsmouth Football Club) Westwood.
Starts and finishes at The Red Lion, College Street. 5.5 miles approx.

@@RobsHampshirePubWalks thank you very much I've been many times in England.... Hampshire belongs to the old county of Wessex... west Saxon..Westsachsen... . I am from Westphalia in northwest Germany... people from here are germanic west Saxons and founded the Kingdom of Wessex.... so we are very much connected with England

Indeed with Winchester being King Alfred's ancient capital of Wessex and the county still having many saxon churches.

Great Place i have been there twice..the town centre is very beautiful..and the best pubs i loved there were Weatherspoon..The George and Townhouse..Good memories..lovely Video my friend

No matter how many times we visit Petersfield there is always something we miss. I just loved this video it was informative and there were buildings I've never actually seen so when we go back we will certainly be exploring Petersfield more though I might give the five mile walk a miss but not the pub 😃😃😃 Thank you for the video good job ❤️

The Orange parades take/took part on July 12th. As a child growing up in Liverpool in the late 50s and early 60s we would all go to Southport which is north of Liverpool. People would come from Scotland and northern Ireland for the day. Nice video Rob. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Dave. I knew about the orange parades ( with a name like Byrne I would wouldnt I 😁😁😁) but hadn't realised they had them in Hampshire especially rural Hamoshire.
