That is the MOST artistic casserole dish I have ever seen. Truly function art. Good job.

@zhpottery It depends on the weather and the size of the pots. In the winter time it takes about 2-3 days for large pots, and summer time 1-2 days. I usually let my pots dry naturally without covering them unless they are too dry to trim. I used one section of the stainless shelves I bought from Costco, wrapping with plastic sheets to serve as my damp box.

Thank you so much for all your work in making these videos. Your craftsmanship with clay is INCREDIBLE and has inspired me to make my pieces even more polished and clean. I was wondering what inspired YOUR style, especially your attention to detail and high quality craftsmanship?

I saw you using a pebble or a soft stone I would like to learn more about the reason behind this trick. The pot or serving dish is outstanding and I feel like a master is creating such a wonderful artwork. I can sense how you pull everything that you have learned and use the same knowledge and experience. Into these beautiful designs. Sincerely my good sir I hope that you thrive in the future and may you have happiness.

What is the average time and way you allow your pots to firm up prior to trimming? I think I will start giving wet pots 30min to air dry and then give them a cover of plastic to slow dry. I have been interested in possibly making a decent damp box/ controlled drying chamber with some heating elements below. Thank you for the continuous help and information to the ceramic community. I send my best regards from SoCal to NorCal. Hope to see you this summer. Cheers and Happy Potting

Thank you so much for all the great videos. I am new to throwing and I have learned more from you then the teacher of my class! my question, Since the lid has the rim that fits down inside the opening I don't understand the little rim on the opening of the pot. it holds the lid up making a little gap. Is that your intention? Thank you

Yes, that's my intention.

i have just one question, ever since i began watching your videos i adapted your trademark pulling technique, but i noticed one problem with me, whenever my left hand goes inside it tends to bump things around a bit, any tips on reducing that?
