I always say not to trust cable type locks too much. More often than not the actual steel part of the cable is half the diameter of what you can see. Do your homework before your next purchase. Lock it or lose it.
Yes, this is true, Locks are meant to keep honest people honest lol! I do think it's important to showcase stuff like this to consumers though. Many people honestly think a lock is a lock and don't put enough thought into what there using to secure their "valuable" items! Before locksport I hadn't really put alot of thought into this...
@@thecompguy I agree mate, it always pays to have some education in any subject . It's after locksport I too realized truly show all locks are not equal lol🤜🤛
Well at least they're honest about the security rating 😛And I applaud their card-packaging as I'm no fan of 'blister-packs' and their wasted single-use plastic. The best cable locks do offer something better if you like them and their price. I also noticed their "how to use" pic showing only the wheel and not the frame being cabled 🙃 At least you might still have a wheel to carry home on foot doing that. And please put a pair of pliers on your lock-bench to keep your fingers a little further from the blade. I don't mind seeing blood unless it's my own, but others (especially RU-vid) may not like it. Thanks for the vid Big Al, and looking forward to your next one 👍
Yes, at least they were "up front" about the rating. I thought once you got the plastic off the cable, you'd measure it to see how much of the 3mm was actual cable...
