Mike you are always such a "high road" kinda guy. Unfortunately there will always be 5% of any crowd that'll do nothing buy try and rain on your parade, but you always take the high road in explaining your ways. I'd probably have just thanked the negative commenter for his/her taking time to have watched my videos and been done with it. Where I 'm at in Michigan theirs a ton of green ash and american elm saplings coming up. range from tiny to tallest ash ive seen thats not dead about 15ft tall. then elm is battling the dutch elm some live and some die, from small to mature trees, but thats good its getting some resistance

this an amazing machine,my best friend brush mows with one like this,other than the brush head is on a Cat 299D model,damn sure cleans up your property,and fast,love it,I help him from time to time,clearing my land I wish I had one myself,next patch on my place Im getting my Buddy to do it,

Great video. Life is a great big commercial that shows the reality of what is made possible by it's inhabitants. Hollywood has distorted that with fictional character portraying fantasy life's as entertainment without educational value. Hey, Mike, The same geniuses that think it's a crime to clear underbrush and scrub on your property are running the show in California, and they're responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in wildfire-loss, property damage, not to mention "air quality" that affects the lives of everybody in states to the east of them. Don't let the uninformed comments of ignoramuses ruin your day. You and Mellisa and the kids are an inspiration and we love you like extensions of our own family.

Mike, Good Forest Management includes providing adequate access to every part of a property. Beside being access, these trails also serve several purposes(wildlife openings, fire breaks, emergency access). Forest Management does not just mean leaving the trees and vegetation to grow uncontrolled. As a property owner of wooded acreage you have a responsibility to maintain the property. Until someone owns property such as yours, they most likely can't understand that what appears to be work to them is actually a pleasure to you. As always enjoy the videos!

To the "commercial" haters, would you prefer no video from Outdoors With The Morgans while Mike is clearing the paths with this great machine? Mike needs to get the most out of this opportunity as his time and schedule permits. It takes a lot of time to create a video for RU-vid. If you don't think so, give it a try. You will gain a whole new appreciation for the quality videos presented here on the Morgan's channel. I guess some people just want to make firewood. BTW, if you don't want to watch, there are other options for you.

I have been watching your videos since I met u at the Paul Bunyan show. I have helping my boyfriend of four years split, haul logs, and cut. What a great way to enjoy our time together! Having trails around your property is a great way to enjoy nature and a nice afternoon walk. You and Melissa are a great inspiration of good team work.

My two cents for all the negative commentators. If you don't like what you see, then watch something else. "Change The Channel". Mike and his family do an awesome job putting these videos together and placing them on RU-vid. It take a lot of time to make these and likely quite a bit more behind the scenes time to get them edited. Thanks Mike! Awesome job. Especially trying to put out a video each day. Mike, I discovered your channel this past summer when I was searching youtube for Fireworks videos, as I too enjoy the 4th of July as my favorite holiday of the year, and put on a small fireworks show for about 50 to 75 of my friends and family. After stumbling on to your channel after viewing your fireworks display for this year, I began watching and became intrigued with all of the things you do around your property. My wife and I have recently purchased 48 acres of land and plan to build a home on it and retire there. I enjoy shooting, but not hunting, but have a dear friend that is a hunter and will be hunting our property. I say this because I have spent the past couple of months learning things that I will need to know as a new property owner. I have really enjoyed your channel, and regarding this diamond blade forestry mower, all I can say is WOW! I will be doing some clearing, and trail cutting, and i can only hope that I can rent a piece of equipment like this. But I just wanted to thank you for all of your content, and let you know that I am one of the many people that have benefitted from your "commercial" for this piece of equipment.

Mike keep doing what you are doing. I don’t see these videos as a commercial. I have no problem with you giving air time to the companies that are supplying the equipment. In fact I think that is great to give recommendations for businesses. When we cleared the building sites we had to pay someone with some equipment to get it done. We started doing it by hand but quickly realized that pulling stumps by hand wouldn’t allow us to make any progress in the time that we had to put toward the work. In 3 months we had cleared about 120 x 80 ft. In something like 6 hours with the right equipment we had cleared 1100 ft by 12 ft wide. If we had had access to a machine like the one you are using we could have done 9000 liner ft of trail building along our property lines in no time at all.

Mike, people are stupid about green movement as your good woods maintenance makes you a excellent custodians of your land.

You're doing an excellent job as a land manager Mike. As land owners, it's our responsibility to ensure the land and forests are maintained in a healthy fashion...those of us who are land / forest owners (or at least understand how they work) know you're doing the right thing. Not the first time I've watched forest mulching videos..such an awesome machine! I need some trails cut on my own property so I need to find someone in southwest Virginia that owns a machine like this. Great video...keep it up!

People that ask you to re-plant do not know how our forests in the North work. You know your land better than anyone. Manage your land the best for you. I think you are doing that and I applaud you for it. Have a day and keep up the good work.

I don't think people understand that you are actually helping the desirable trees to grow better by opening up a little area around them like you are doing. The undesirable stuff is competing with the trees for water and nourishment. It's like people getting the weeds out of their lawns so the grass grows better. That machine is machine is making an excellent area for new seedlings to develop. I really like watching you work with this machine in the woods.

those deer dont seem to be bothered by any kind of equipment running around. but get off that equipment and put your feet on the ground and they are gone. i can can drive right up to them and they just stare. get off the machine and they vanish.

With those teeth not being carbide, how are they holding up from your couple days of use? If you have caught any rocks that you're aware of, did the teeth tolerate them? Very interesting machine to watch, thank you for another awesome video!

Your so right about the way our parents and grandparents worked their land. My dad passed away 1994 he was 81 years old. My granddad was borned in 1887 i remember hearing their stories about farming with horses. Here in W.V. the hills are pretty steep. Wasn't any tractors back then, and about the only thing that could navigate these hills was a team of horses or mules. I'm very thankful for what I've been blessed with as I couldn't imagine working like our grandparents had too. I wished they could've seen how things have evolved from their generation. That machine is awesome. Its way beyond my means of ever owning one but, i appreciate you showing us how very useful it is. Really enjoyed this. Thanks Mike.

you cant hardly beat a machine with a mulching head on it. I like the one they have on a excavator called a milling head. that thing will eat entire trees and I mean big trees stump and all! enjoyed the video.

Love watching your video's Mike. You really don't need to explain yourself to others. I appreciate what you do and your time. I cleared a lot to build my home in the year 2000. 56 ash trees came down and the bush was insane. I did it on my 3 weeks off with chain saw and wood chipper. I still feel the pain til this day. My buddy has 50 acres that we go clear dead and falling wood on the weekends and we make trails there as well the old way. I would love to rent this for a day to save weeks of work. Keep up the good work and always informative video's!!

Good morning. Anyone watching this keep in mind that you need an in depth knowledge of the land/ lay of the land and obstructions ie metal/posts/fencing. I've been asked to help clear a mulching head of thick gauge fencing. It was a long drawn out mess. Bobcat is partners with Fecon. They have drum style mulch heads. There are also your standard bush hog heads and finally the head Mike had here. Each have their own strengths and weaknesses. Hello to Hunter. Be safe.

Thanks for these videos and the woods thank you. Have about 40 acres of woods with russian olive and honey suckle, and thinking of one of these machines for about a year. That crap is starting to get into our big woods and is doing damage, chokes out growth of young saplings.

Just an idea, put a map up pinpointing where along the trail you are working.

Hi Mike, I watch all of your video's and they are some of the best (that is pertaining to how you put them together) on RU-vid. I might suggest that on these videos that are commentary/opinion types, on a particular piece of equipment (i.e., "Wolf Ridge" splitter, conveyor, "Morits" dump trailer, "Stihl" MS260 etc.,) maybe make them with a focused titled description and in your number sequence, approx., 7-10mins long. This would let those that don't care about equipment stuff specifically to basically ignore them, and move onto the Dailey activities videos that, most likely got you to that 100K viewers. Course, I have no idea of what amount of time and effort that goes into these videos and and have only heard of what "youtube" does to regulate them and demonetize them and whatever else. If and when I am using "RU-vid" to look up certain things (equipment, building processes/practices, products etc.,), I am surprised at what is not noted in the title. Anyway, just my 2-cents worth, in a long winded reply. Thank you for the great videos...

I agree, not a TV commercial. If it were about 3/4 of the way through you'll be saying "But WAIT there's MORE, call now an you'll also get" ;D I've learned a lot about techniques and products I never knew existed by watching RU-vid channels where manufacturers/dealers have donated/loaned/leased/whatever products to popular channels. I call that smart marketing, go right to your target audience. I can't buy an RK trator, no dealers within hundreds of miles but I'd sure give them a look if they were around based on seeing them on OWTM. And I've bought other products I've seen here and on other channels. Spot on regarding the property. Tons of acres of farms and forest get turned into housing developments. Money for the seller, the developer, taxes for the town. Those acres will never return to productive agricultural or forest use. Your land minus the few trees you just cut out is a far more valuable ecological resource.

Thanks for sharing Mike. I am a big fan and appreciate the information you bring to my world of ranching, land clearing (forestry fire ladder fuel reduction). Through RU-vid, I have discovered better and more efficient ways of doing many different projects on my land. I don’t consider TV commercials a valuable resource, I consider Outdoors with the Morgan’s not only a valuable resource but also a great source of entertainment. You might want to consider reintroducing some nice hardwoods into the areas where you cleaned up....like Maples, Oaks and so forth...since Cherry seems to be dominating that area. Here in MN our City Extension offices offer yearly plant sales where we can order bundles of 25 young trees (18 to 36" bare root seedlings, of every variety, for an average about $20 a bundle. Perhaps your city has similar offers?

The great thing about America "for now" is freedom of choice. If people don't like what you're doing they can watch something else. You are providing a service/product that over 100k of us like and understand. If I were you, I don't think I would even mention some of these clowns, just hit the delete button.
