I think these options were given to deploy 5G during the transition phase from LTE. Based on their requirement and existing network, operators can decide which kind of deployment option suits them well. I have seen networks mostly with Option 3 and 2.

We have both the options. 4G core can be kept with 5G RAN which is Non Stand alone network. For 5G Core with 5G RAN we have Stand Alone architecture options.
