I did a 5k recently, and the person in second place ran with a stroller. (His time was 15:52) the kid in the stroller looked like he was breaking the sound barrier 🤣
I was going for Kerr because I thought he was the only one who could beat Captain Arrogant, but what a fantastic race for the yanks! How satisfying it must feel for them to be be pre race underdogs but then claim the gold & bronze!
Hell yes you need to attack this record. I've run this course quite a few times. Tip 1: pick a morning between 42 and 58 degrees. Tip 2: Train/live at a higher altitude for five weeks and then run this course. Tip 3: Use Strava Segments as a training tool. Tip 4: Use Sunscreen and/or wear a long-sleeved hooded shirt. Good Luck!!
I wanna say Mo Farah but Cole Hocker closed one of his races in 11 seconds TRP did a video on it I think Mo was more consistent consistently closing fast but Cole when he does it he does it great
Great job Spencer! Of course as you train for your half marathons you could fit in another park run and see how close you can get to the course record . . . look forward to your progression. Have fun with your training, stay healthy and look forward to what’s next on the race calendar.💯👍👊💪
Wow! Great job man! That's a crazy improvement in just a couple months, especially on a high-mileage week. And yeah, the people here are BEASTS. You should totally try to get the course record!
That was impressive! Breaking 16 at a bit more than a mile high, despite the conversion calculator, seems to be closer to breaking 15 at sea level. 85 miles....that would be a high mileage week for most marathon and some ultra runners who aren't from Kenya or Ethiopia! You are crushing it.
I loved the first "every step of the way". Between that and all the experience you've gained doing interviews at park runs you might want to consider a career in sportscasting :)
No spoiler prediction at altitude with tired legs maybe 15:45 or so. Edit: Heyy 15:56 at altitude on tired legs is really solid man! You could probably go way faster on that one course you ran 14:51 in. I would love to see what you could do in a 2 mile or a 1 mile time trial on a track with spikes on, but that's probably wishful thinking. Keep up the amazing work on your videos and your running man, lets goo!
Are you going to do Vail next? Even higher altitude but a beautiful weekend in thin air. Someday I will get to the park run when you are running. Rock on!
Welcome to Boulder! You guys chose wisely really cant beat Boulder in terms of recreation, training, and like-minded athletes. Shanahan Ridge and Betasso preserve (go wednesdays or saturdays bc no mtn bikers those days) are personal faves for training and I'll be out at Shanahan this afternoon. See you on the trails! Take care
Will you put the podcast on RSS feed as well? Android user without Spotify here… There’s a whole world of listeners to gain outside of them and Apple Podcasts 😊
I listened to the pod cast. It was not possible for me to leave a review, which could help to promote the channel. That POV was kinda blair which! That guy was the head of on of my American cousins kids, though it was him for a mo.
Do you have any tips from me I'm bout to go to middle school and I choose cross country can u give me tips and is it hard do I have to be fast I'm like freaking out rn
The already generous altitude time conversion calculator you were using literally says on the sidebar “for the non-altitude trained runner”. You live and train here now… Should Conner Mantz and Clayton Young adjust their “predicted marathon pace” training runs that they’ve documented to account for the fact that they’re in Utah? If so looks like they’re going sub-2 in Paris! 😂 You’re an incredibly fast runner. No need to puff up more and explain why you’re not even faster.
Hey Im in highschool, in may I ran a 4:58 mile but I stopped running due to injury for about 2 and a half months how long do you think it will take for me to get back to 100%?
@@crazycuber8440 It took me about 6 months to get to 4:58 from 5:50 and tbh I wasnt all thay active, I tried to go for a few runs here and there like once or twice a week
