Ive done this before in a caravan with no temperature control you have to cover them lids or insects and bacteria can get in but you have to let the gas out too i don't think you know what your at i have brewed in them gallon water bottles before but im upgrading to a better set up going to use alcotec turbo yeast a temperature controller and make 25 litres of 20 percent cider lol im going to get steaming.
Yes your right I've brewed in gallon jugs before you can improvise but you can't just leave it open or insects and bacteria will get in I don't think this guy knows what he's at
Good job Alex. I extract brew real ales with plenty of hops - even home grown! - but this is what i was looking for a nice n easy cider. thanks for sharing. Barnie.
Or just make a bubbler out of siphon straw 500ml water bottle with 2 holes in the lid one with the siphon tube in the other to release the co2, and the other end of the siphon tube poke a hole 8n the 5 litre with a pencil and insert. It's easy and your floor won't drink your cider
