The 2021 4Runner has the fog lights wiring attached to the part of the Bumper that needs to be cut, these wires are now fed from the left side only, how did you run the wiring cables? It cannot be ran above the bumper because isn’t long enough! … when I thought I had everything figured it out. My 2019 4runner does not have these cables like this, this is due to the new LED fog lights. PLEASE ADVISE! I can’t be the only one with this problem, pure nightmare!
Looks great, I had one put on a few days ago. Everything good, except today when I went up a driveway into parking lot, there was a light clunk on the passenger front side. I tested it again at a little faster speeds going up and then down different driveways into parking lots etc. Same clunk, thump sound. This is a 2019 trd pro 4runner with only 15,000 on it. Thought I'd ask if you might have an idea of what it is. Bushings, sway bar, something else the auto place didn't do right. Torque not correct etc. It wasn't there at all before. The winch I can see is attached correctly, bumper is in there, everything is bolted down tightly, my skid plate is bolted down tightly etc.
I really want to like this bumper since it's now offered in a DIY weld together kit but I'm not a fan of the gap between the top of the bumper and the trimmed OE plastic bumper. Can you leave more material on the OE bumper to close this gap, or, will there be an interference issue?
We advise you to leave a little more on than you think you need and trim back slowly to get that perfect distance. The provided edge trim helps fill that gap too as long as you don't over trim.
is there a way to install it and make it look flush with the mesh part of the grille? I see there's about an inch of the valence still visible... I would like to install it without that piece being visible. Is that possible? I have a 2017 SR5
How long did it take to install? I have been told 10 to 12 hour install for $1400 and change. I have the bumper and stage 2 high clearance with a 30" light bar. I can't seem to find the time of installation anywhere but 10 to 12 hours seems really over estimating.
