You guys aren't scared. Not afraid to just get at it. I'm sure you guys did some research on back halfing a Camaro. At least I hope you did lol. Looking forward to watching the build.
Adz!! So much for not tubbing it 😂. I wouldn't worry about tying steel into the rear bar to save it. Just remove the bar before you skid. Hopefully you give yourself plenty of clearance on the rear guards now for skids and a meaty tyre for the drag track. Love watching the progress.
It’s going to be a well built machine in the end, no worries…you guys do great work. You can always add anything back later on if you ever need it. Great vid…can’t wait for the next catch up vid. Always good to get Karl’s approval. 😉
On the wheel wells, you could roll some 1/8 sheets to reinforce it with a cutter on the bottom backside. That way, when you've got a gator back coming off the carcass of the tire, it'll get chopped off right away instead of beating up the fenders.
Full Send! I was hoping you'd just cut it all out n get it down in the weeds... this is gunna be sweet! Some serious tubs with smash plates to take the steel belts destroying the bumper, this was every bit a perfect choice 👌 Rad 🎉🎉
Did chev really look at the Camaro tail lights and say "You know what these need? They need to be totally different and way uglier". What ever they did with that model was entirely unnecessary and completely inappropriate.
On our build we used 3 12 inch by 12 inch plate 1/4 thick I made a fender tub out of them for the rear. We made the back plate hang 2 inches lower on the back side and sharpened it so it would cut the tires as they were spinning instead of tearing the car up
