That's how you're supposed to row em...if it dont sound pretty close to an auto you're not doin it right. The guys who can actually drive like that are far and few between these days that is why everyone thinks auto is so much faster because most manual drivers in 2020 suck ass. Not too many old school gear bangers around it is very refreshing to see others do just that.
Thank you Neil, it was my buddies car. Both of them were actually, they are now both gone.. 6th Gen was traded for a Tacoma and the 5th Gen was sold outright and he bought a Cadillac atsv
clout demon first rule of racing is don’t assume. I promise you your stock/mild mods bike wouldn’t beat what I’ve got going on. Ran the track last week. 60’ 1.46 1/4 mile speed 138 1/4 mile time 9.91 My weight is 220. I play road coarse too. Put your money where your mouth is.
J R maybe in your part of the world they don’t sell velocity stacks, race carburetors, bigger head valves, machinests that know how to port and nickle coat surfaces, cam cores that can be custom ground, air shiffters or mechanical ignition advancers. To bad, I thought we were hard pressed getting parts on Canada, i couldn’t imagine the only way of going faster was buying a newer product with a fancy sticker that had higher numbers. FOH
@@Leo-yy4zt Until its camshaft snaps in half because a supra is a piece of sh!t. Even then if the Supra's engine doesn't malfunction the Camaro would still wipe it. I'm tired of hearing 12 year olds saying that the supra is the best car in the world and will praise it like their god, yet it's a 90's japanese sh!tbox.
@@goofy_xf6223if the customer says that shit aint a muscle car and dont buy it then yeah the customers is telling the manufacturer it aint a muscle car lol car manufacturers aint shit without the customer bud
Jajaja se que aunque no comentan hay paisanos viendo este comentario solo quería decir que valla que forma de meter los cambios de ese amigo mis respetos
Ole boy can drive that 5th gen like a boss. Love the 5th gens. Have a 12' 2ss/rs myself, and there a fun car. But definitely more fun in a manual with the ls3.. autos may be quicker, but no where near as much fun as shifting and running the gears out to the max.. You feel more involved in a manual, than just flooring the gas pedal.
Thanks alot Andrew for the comment, they are fun cars for sure ! Sadly both the 5th Gen and 6th Gen are gone, the owner of both the cars now owns a new Tacoma and a atsv !
Both cars were 6spd and both drivers, myself and the owner of both cars are pretty much even with shifting ! It was all in fun, he just wanted to see how they compared before selling the 5th gen
@@hazlett126 that 5th gen looks so good especially in that color I had one in that color but had the 2ss rs package it was super fun and it felt really smooth drifting around corners
I still to this day come back to the video after 3 years to admire and reminisce the good ole sound of this car, an owner of a car dealership came and bought it off the owner, at that time it was already cammed and pulled about 3 cars on the 6th gen. Both cars are gone now, truly miss seeing the both of them, they were lots of fun
3 years later and damn.. this race is great. i love a race when it’s neck and neck and when it’s a the same car but the older version won makes it 10x better
If that 6th generation Camaro SS didn't have a passenger, the bolt on tuned 5th generation Camaro SS would have lost. Very impressive for a stock 6th gen.
That's a really clean 5th gen. Nice car man. Respectable mods and good horsepower to compete with these newer cars. 445WHP NA is nice. As an 07 SRT owner, I know the pain of being slower without the mods.
Those 5th gens I love. I have a 2014 ss. I love it!! Those beefy Camaros are the last of the muscle car. The 6th gen and later, they made them smaller and lighter. Changed them from a muscle/pony car to the budget sports car.
I really like my turbo charged four cylinder . These cars are a lot of fun but I drive safe ever since a motor cycle went between my car and a car I was racing .
