Honestly anytime Lex is your allstar your piece will be incredible. He's one of my fav dancers ever to step foot in this show. Plus Talia doing choreo is, amazing combo
With no Travis Wall this year, Talia is the HEAVIEST HITTING choreographer this season. Would LOVE to see this piece danced by additional GREAT dancers.
I think any competitor who has ever had to dance with Lex understands Beau's predicament. The piece is certain to stand out and that should be good; but it will stand out because of Lex, not the competitor.
Lex is simply amazing. Dancing with Beau just raised the huge difference between excellence and ordinary. I don’t understand why Beau is still there when great dancers already left.
I agree about Talia. Wow! She really delivered this season. Robert Roldan contributed some inventive choreography as well. His contemporary dance creations always looked gorgeous when performed. Robert made really intricate and precisely timed partner work look effortless several times. Not easy. Robert as a choreographer was a wonderful surprise on this season.
what’s wrong with beau? he executed that beautifully. of course other dancers may have done it better but i wouldn’t change anything, it was such a gorgeous and emotional dance that even I teared up.
No need trying to hold back the tears. Lex, I am so glad to see you again. What a dancer you are. Beau, you can partner with Lex and that is an accomplishment.
I am damn proud of Beau! Here he has made it sheer grit to be in the top ten on SYTYCD! Every day people who love dance like me could only dream to experience what he is right now dancing with and being guided by the fiercest choreographers in the world! You go Beau!
While I think Beau could still have a career somewhere especially on Broadway, this isn’t the show for him. Other styles of dance, like this contemporary piece, demand a lot of technique and dancing ability that he’s lacking. Beautiful piece from Talia and excellent execution by Lex, but I wish someone who had been eliminated was given this piece.
You know it's not good for the competitor when you spend the whole dance watching the all star. Beau just isn't up to par with his dancing. There have been plenty of dancers on the show who were weaker in technique (pretty much most of the hip hop dancers over the years) who stepped up and improved in their later performances. Who had partners who brought out the best in them. Beau was just overshadowed here.
I agree. Also…they don’t have him doing lifts like the other guys… he’s had an unfair advantage. I don’t think he was up to par to be in the top 20 must less 10.
After not watching since season 7/8 and being wowed by S 5,3,and 4 this season was a HUGE let down,most of these dancers shouldn’t even be in this competition,most lack technique ,charisma and rely on cheap gimmicks,total let down on how badly this show has gotten.sorry if I hurt anyone’s feelings but it’s my opinion.
This routine would of been phenomenal with a more technical dancer. Beau just doesn’t cut it! He should of never taken a place away from some of the dancers who were let go. This show won’t make it much longer. The dancers this season are not up to par as the other seasons. They have lost a lot of us dance teachers and studio owners. So sad!
How Beau got past the auditions is beyond believable and shows how terrible the judges, except tWitch, are this year. If you look at the viewership for each show, it's dismal. For those of us who have followed each season, have dance studios in our houses, ( Leah Remini claims her home dance studio makes her qualified to judge), and have danced for decades, this year's show has been terrible. It is so sad since my wife and I live to dance and love watching any dance shows that come up.
Exactly what I felt when I saw this show the other night after not watching since season 8 and sporadically through others.I thought how totally lacking in talent,technique and charisma.some dancers shouldn’t even be here.😭
I cried so much and I’ve rewatched this like 5 times !! I relate to this so much and I don’t understand the hate for beau in this!!! I feel like he assumed that role so great and reallly played that character, having to strong for someone else but frustrated as hell with them. Idk I just absolutely loved every minute of this thing, the whole episode really was amazing!
He is amazing and he's been my favorite the whole time .. a few years ago beau probably wouldn't have even looked at .. he proves that just because you're a little bigger doesn't mean your dancing will suck ... He's so special and I think Les helped bring out more of Beau ..
I love Beau, but I think he did more acting than dancing in this number. That’s my frustration with it. Great number but I wish the roles were reversed. Beau should be the star, not Lex
In my opinion Beau is not a great dancer. He dances with emotion, but technically he is far below the other dancers. Beau is still on the show because the judges or the producers want to show someone who is different, but he is not pleasant to watch.
The only time I watched Lex was the partnering and close ups. Beau is short for beautiful! It's not even about how he looks or his technique. It's about how he is performing the message of the dance, exploring the movements fully, and putting his all into every moment. Maybe Beau is still in this because dance isn't all just legs, tricks, and turns. Beau is show casing more then just talent. He is demonstrating a language one can hear with one's heart! Judges reactions are proof! Hang in the Beau! You are not an under dog, you are a dancer!
Well said. I agree. We should all feel and dance as Beau does even though we are not trained or know perfect technique. Real dance is feeling the emotion and creating movement around it…and expressing it and sending it out there…..He deserves credit for at least being authentic.I enjoy watching him perform. I think he would shine on B’way!
I don't know why so many in the comments are ragging on Beau. He is one of my favorite performers this year. This was absolutely beautiful and moving... and that is what Dance is supposed to be. Honestly I think a lot of it is people being fatphobic. This is the first time we have had a plus size dancer on SYTYCD and Beau absolutely holds his own and kills it every time. I was moved to tears by this piece. Beau was fantastic... I don't understand how the audience could have been moved to tears and yet still have voted him into the bottom 3... I am so happy that the judges couldn't make a decision on who to save and I hope next week Beau comes back even stronger and absolutely nails his routine.

This guy is a joke,has nothing to do with his weight,he lacks any dancing talent and to be in top 12 is just pandering .his performances almost border on camp bythis much.
Even after this routine Beau went to the bottom. He’s just not good enough for this show. Lex on the other hand is sublime and the reason why people watch.
I say that about this whole season--that this season cannot find a Lex or a Kiki Nyemchek. I politely watched Beau but Lex and Kiki ? ? ? ? Get off the stage Beau.
Beau shouldn't have even made it to the top 12 as far as I'm concerned. I'm still not over the judges picking him over that guy Sam during the choreography round. Sam was outstanding. The only reason why they picked Beau to move forward is because they're trying to force diversity and inclusivity on the show just because Beau has a beer belly. It's absurd. He just doesn't have as much range of motion as any of the other contestants, regardless of his body type.
totally agreed! He keeps being given less difficult choreography (in my opinion) than other guys and girls on the show. He should have been held up to as high a standard of everyone else. He should be on the show *regardless* of diversity, not *as a result* pf diversity.
Beau did such a great job in this piece. No he’s not the “pretty boy” but his emotions as he dances just clicks with me . I’ve been rooting for him from the start.
Beau should have been eliminated weeks ago. It is an embarrassment to the show and a disservice to him and the other dancers that he is still around. Shame on the judges for keeping him.
