Mike, thank you for continuing on Bill's work in training all of us powerstroke owners. It ain't easy filling Bill's shoes but the more you do it, the more comfortable you will become with making videos 👍❤
Hi Mike. Diesal mechanic from Canada here. Watched you guys for years bought 6.0 because of you. I have gone through tremendous loss myself in the last year, your videos keep me alive. Glad to see you making them again. Ps you are my 6.0 hero lol.I think you are one of the most knowledgeable guys on the planet when it comes to these and I have been a tech for over 35 years. My condolences again and PLEASE keep it going. Thank you and keep on rocking in the free world God Bless.
@@samholdsworth420that’s a stupid thing to say to a nice comment. And they’re good engines when done right, which these guys do. Have some class bud. You give a bad name to us bud smokers with that 420 smfh
Glad to see you keeping the channel up and going. Awesome to see you open up over the years and now making your own videos for the channel. Rest easy big bill.
Good on you for continuing to make these most helpful videos. I'm sure it's still very emotional for everyone, but I'm willing to bet that Bill would want everyone who's missing him to keep their spirits up and be as happy as possible. Wishing you all the best 🙂
I'm sure that wasn't easy to do solo the first time, Mike. Kudos for getting back into the camera/RU-vid saddle with content that would normally have included Bill too. Hang in there team PS Specialities/ PSHelp!
God bless you Mikey. Bill is proud of what you doing and how you continuing his legacy. Please dont stop and keep pushing my friend. Bill is smiling from above and proud of you and everyone involved in his legacy. God speed.
Good to see you still doing the videos Mike, Bill is a tremendous loss and its great to see this channel & business live on! Keep it up, look forward to seeing more.
God Bless you guys. This video really means a lot to me and all your other fans. Looking forward to the follow up if the cards align and you get to open it up. Thank you Mike!!!
Happy New Year Mikey and to the whole powerstroke help/ powerstroke specialty team, I just want to say thank you very much for continuing to do these videos Mike we can see its not easy at all for you to do this but I'm sure it's exactly what the big guy upstairs wants, he's looking down and smiling on you guys and I know he'd want you to keep the powerstroke legacy going ! Keep your head up Mikey ! Your an awesome man as well as everyone else at Bill's powerstoke help !! Stay safe everyone.
Mikey I am glad you are keeping the site alive. I have an 03 6.0 excursion and I get a lot of good info from this site. Thanks again and I am sure a lot of people miss Bill.
I don't own a 6.0, probably never will. I learned my lesson driving others. I still watch hoping to gain something that may help someone else. Thank you for still putting out videos.
Great job Mikey! I'm so glad to see you guys are still putting out PowerStroke content. I know this is a learning curve, but If you guys need any help with video editing or anything production related, I'd be more than happy to help out any way I can.
I Love your videos! Thanks for offering up your help to these guys in this tough time for them. Keep up the great work. Always watching for awesome ford content. - From your sub.
Hey Mike! Glad to see you’re back on You Tube. Sorry about Bill but I know that he would want you to continue with his work. God bless you and the rest of the crew.
So glad you are continuing Bills mission! I recently had to get rid of my 7.3 because of northern rust and I'm missing it! Keep going with educating people. I will always support you guys and Train A Vet.
Many years ago, I told Bill through RU-vid that 6.0s had lifter failures. He said that at that time, he hadn't seen that failure. I worked for Navistar. I had replaced probably 6 engines due to that failure. It was the needle bearings in the roller going bad. We summed it up to it might be more of a truck/bus issue. Now it seems to be more common.
Of those engines, did they show any signs of neglect? Lack of oil changes or something else? Run hard or boosted? I have an '06 E 350 but it only has 151k. Maybe a little too early for major problems? I am a stickler about oil changes. Every 5,000 miles. Filters are always OEM, oil and fuel.
@justsittinhere72 hard to say all in busses or trucks. Probably more to oil changes than anything. Usually, they take out the ipr screen, because of debris.
So happy you are back doing RU-vid! Best powerstroke diesel channel ever!!! Long time viewer you guys have helped so much with my 7.3!! Boss man definitely looking down with his big smile at You and your team!!! 🙏🏻
My old 7.3 was doing something very similar for about 9 months....intermittent compression skip. Some days it would run totally fine all day, other days it would skip at one light but not the next or on other days it would just stay skipping all day. When it was acting up, I could jump the starter and hear a very noticeable "gallop" in the cranking rhythm. When it wasn't acting up it had a very smooth and even sound when cranking it over. I put 2 cans of seafoam in a fresh oil change and left it in there for the entire 3,500mi change interval. The skip was completely gone after about 1500 miles and is still gone to this day about a year and 25,000+/- miles later. I still can't believe it!!! Never been a believer in snake oils but I had already condemned the engine in my mind and was making plans to rebuild it so I had nothing to loose if it didn't work or messed it up further. Ps....glad to see you keeping Bills legacy alive and well. I'm still heart broken over loosing him. Ive learned so much from his videos over the years!
Thank you to the entire powerstroke specialty team, and especially to you, Mike, for continuing the informative videos that we all enjoy. Best to you and the team!
Thank you Mike for continuing our education on our 6.0L's. I'm fortunate enough to live in Atlanta and greatly appreciate you guys caring for my truck so well over the past few years. Wishing you guys a great 2024!
Thanks for sharing Mikey! This willl surely help someone understand an intermittent compression/misfire issue. Good time to catch this before it needs a ton more $ thrown at it than it already does. Hope your holidays and new year were good brother! New year, new chapter! We appreciate you sharing the info! Keep em coming!
Definitely different than your usual compression skip. Reminds me of too common 6.4 rocker/pushrod failure with an obvious skip without compression loss... Good job Mike, look forward to seeing more videos!
Sending love your way Mikey and team. I can only imagine how you guys feel after the tragic loss of Bill. Trust me when I say he’d be damn proud of all you for carrying on. Not going to lie Mike, you brought tears to my eyes in this one. One day at a time brother, all we can do.
Glad to see you are still going to be posting! I am looking forward to watching all your new content! It’s great to see you guys are still carrying the torch. Happy 2024!
Mike!! Pleasant suprise to see this on my recents I cringed a little when i heard the first skip and i asked myself, "does he cringe too OR is he just so used to hearing 6.0s like that?" Never worked on/owned a diessl yet. I fully intend to in the next 24 months. Always been a dream of mine. f you guys still sell trucks id prefer to buy kt from yall because yas are the only ones id trust. So many hours of free content on here educating us how to properly mantain these engines so we DONT need your services. A lot a business people would think, "that makes no sense!" But yall already know WHY it does. And ironically, THATS why i know exactly where to go when i do. Cant wait to get that 6.0 someday and prove what those engines were intended to be capable of and why buying a new 6.7 is stupid and why getting an armoured one from powerstrokehelp is a power move for value
I'm not a diesel tech but I know a couple of things about diesel engines but your knowledge, skill set, and professionalism is far superior than anything I've seen. An apprentice working under you would be incredibly lucky to have you teach and mold them into a knowledgeable and competent technician. I know you guys don't work on 7.3s anymore but I can't find a reputable, competent shop to diagnose my issue. If you have time, a recommendation from you would be worth its weight in gold.
Good presentation. I have 425k on VW Jetta 5psd TDI. Your channel has taught me a lot about diesels. Bill introduced me to Archoil. Been using for 265k miles and it was the onlyproduct to clean my injectors. Best to you for 2024.
1:30 is exactly what my truck sounds like - just bought it! Man i just finished new heads, studs etc- had no clue! guess ill be back in again and hopefully its NOT one of the back 8 lifters :( Thanks for a to the point video with perfect examples of what it should and should not do! 10s of sound is worth a million words!
Great to see you again Mike, thank you for the quick and logical walkthrough of that truck’s intermittent compression issue. Hopefully there is a part 2 so we can see what’s up with the valvetrain.
Thanks Mike for keeping up with the videos. I’ve moved on from my 6.0 to a newer truck (2022 F350) but still keep watching and subscribing. You will find a new normal for the channel and we will all keep watching.
Hola Mike saludos y bendiciones. gracias por seguír haciendo videos de los problemas de Ford el jefe Bill está muy orgulloso x seguir su meta ayudar al prójimo
