i saw my first one in person yesterday it was an 04 manual and i must say they actually look alot better in person than in pictures. i like 2015+ mustangs but EVERYONE and their grandma has one. if you have the gto with no hood scoop it looks like a grand prix on steroids so makes for a nice sleeper.
@@AaronRowland-y5w yuuuup same im looking for a black manual myself, the dealerships where i live think a gto with 80k miles is worth 25k lmao its kind of sad. have to find one on facebook market place for a deal.
@@AaronRowland-y5w yeah thats true they usually undercut the dealership by 5k or so. there is hope looking on facebook market place for tuner gto's tho seen one for sale with a new ls3 engine for less than a stock gto.
i see corvettes everyday, even older ones. i see a new age gto once every 6 months if not 1 a year. i havent ever seen an old gto but have seen a few lemans on the oregon coast.
I can tell this thing is fast. When you watch others' videos of their LS powered car accelerating, it doesn't seem fast for some reason. But I can tell this car is hauling ass!
Mode on the car include BTR stage 3 cam, long tube headers and catless exhaust, vararam CAI, motive gear 4.11 rear end and Mickey Thompson ET street radials and mjd performance dyno tune
Is that stock power? Seems a bit more powerful. I have a 2006 GTO six speed bought new in early 2007 at the end of the run. Still only have 71K miles on it.
The left side is apartments and city. The trees have been planted, there is a giant fence on the left just after the trees. The right is freeway, and more city
Awesome pull!! Either auto or manual, these GTO's awesome IMO. I personally find the automatics pull harder and are faster, with mods, than the manuals but that is just my experience at the track.
@@StelioKontos42069 I have an auto and am buying what’s needed to manual swap it. Sure once you add a converter it’ll keep up but the dead spots in the stock trim make it horrible. Roll racing is the worst. From a 20 my car eats but a 30-40 roll it accelerates like a Prius 😂 And it won’t let you shift manually either.
@@goat_life254 i wonder if not being able to pick your gear is a tranny problem? ive seen people in auto goats pick their gear. i will say this before you even bother doing that while you have everything apart you're gonna want a short throw shifter the throws are very long and the stock shifters THICC
@@StelioKontos42069 when I put the 3.90’s in it shifted early so I tried manual. It wouldn’t shift when I shifted and hit limiter on 2-3 shift. It’s programmed and does what it wants. I have a tick shifter already. Ecu and m6 harness. Pedals and clutch master out of 06 gto.
@@goat_life254 right on man you're gonna love it nothing like rowing the gears in these cars. im not sure if you'll have to deal with it or not but theres an annoying 1 to 4 skip shift if you stay in 1st above a certain rpm too long. from what ive read you can mess your transmission up if you force it into 2nd when it happens. you probably wont have the light that tells you when its activated so i'd buy the skip shift eliminator and slap it on while you're workin on it. good luck im glad i decided to hold out or i'd of been in your shoes.
@harris_h24 Cammed, different gearing in the rear diff, tuned and a drag pack. There are a few bolt ons I'm missing, but the owner is in the comment section
@@endsle11 I’d like one too. But I’m already almost 500 whp. So my stock block can’t handle much more. This is when it gets real expensive for more speed. The owner told me I’d be better off just going a@a blower he can get me to 700 hp on a stock block. That’s the max the ls3 can handle reliably I’ve been told. But man I just love the sound of headers and a cam just idling. So I could have got more power for a few grand more. I think I’d just genuinely enjoy my car with a cam and headers than with a blower that really gives you no sound just power. Now I gotta start digging into the engine deep. Gotta have some deep pockets too.
Was that pull with traction control off? my gto is pushing 550rwhp and uncontrollable when shifting to second with t/c off. It pulls very hard right making me go hard left if that makes sense.
i read on the forums it pulls to the right when doing a burnout or spinning because thats where the battery is. Apparently if the battery is in the trunk it wont but i like it to be predictable.
just know that a stock ls2 gto will have shitty clutch hydraulics nowadays. you'll have fun on the 2,3 and 1,2 but you wont be able to run through the gears like this guy did.
