Porsche Driver: IM DOING A THING! Volvo Driver: Pardon me good sir, passing, pardon me, thank you. Have a nice day. Porsche Driver: ...I paid too much...
@@Wankdorf183 those breaks probably are not cheap. High performance breaks tend to be a bit noisier because of the cooling slots and holes. The noise only shows that he hasn't got the stock breaks on anymore but it doesn't say anything about quality.
@Robin Nilsson I don't know if you can go faster than 170 with a trailer, and not because of the tires or bearings, the trailer won't be stable. I think those are just stories.
that's another Porsche. The first one, the unfair driver, still has a shattered ego after being overtaken by this great sleeper/Volvo. nice video by the way
The Porsche (that deliberately blocks the Volvo) at 1:45 has silver wheels whereas the Porsche that passes us at 2:29 has red wheels and an extra spoiler.
Meanwhile, the drivers' wife and children had dozed off dreaming of the sandwiches packed away in the cooler in the back. Dad's thinking "Oh damn, I've gotten lost again. Where's the exit?"
Everyone knows that mate. And they are literal tanks on 4 wheels. But only old ones. The newer ones had mechanical problems and bad mpg. But at least the S80 had power (a V8). Now they also took that away. I see absolutely no reason why anyone would buy a Volvo in 2016.
+Rob Moss lol good comment :) still love it when youngsters with there tuned vw golf are doing cool on the lights and then i'm like allright your way just push the pedal a little with the v70 and there nowhere to be seen....never toy around with a volvo in most cases it will kick your ass :p
This Volvo might only have a TD04 19T turbo and downpipe (small turbo upgrade). Gives you around 340BHP with a good tune but heaps of torque, and with the long 5-speed manual you outrun cars with higher HP numbers. Add some good suspension mods, brakes and a driver with knowledge of the track and you keep ahead of an E92 M3. Not to mention the Volvo has a towbar, that guy went straight to the campsite after his lap to pick up his trailer caravan and head home. 😆
That is not just your average driver in that 850, was running a perfect touring car line and hit every single apex nearly perfectly. I respect the 850 as much as any iconic car, but the driver was clearly very experienced and you shouldn't expect just anyone to jump in a Volvo and pedal with M3's.
like how egoist porsche driver doesn't want to be overtaken blocks dangerously for a while ...then overtakes on the flashing warning lights... then gets away before the warning accident zone is finished... oh did you get overtaken by a volvo station wagon with a tow bar?
Agreed, there two different Porsches mate, first one looks like it's driven by an office waller doing a few laps in his dinner hour, second Porsche is driven by a guy who was takin no prisoners!!! volvo gave some stick though and m3 kept up easily both driven very well and with what looks like previous berg experience might I add!!!
Comment section is filled with keyboard warriors who would think they can drive better than the m3 driver. Fact is, put them on a track they've never been to before, they're gonna take it slow and cautiously. Eat your words peasants.
I am 22 years old I have 1 Volvo s90 1998 it is a love, it is my second volvo my first volvo was the same as a 1998 s90 now that I was able to get another one I want to do a clean but fast project, Volvo is a love, confidence, safety and comfort❤️
@@fedeborsello5926 I have a 2007, last year before some models change, people says its the best year of T5 for S60. I can't find any 2007 T5 for some reason, looks like I have the only one NA lol. I had no trouble aside the radiator plastic clip broke and I had to get a new rad... Usual thing like timing belt, oil change, they are weak on the balljoint tbh, I changed them way too often, aside of that its all good.
@@fedeborsello5926 if you are thinking about stick shift (in my eyes the only way to drive a car) take a look at the clutch. Ball bearings and front suspensions are mostly worn out, look for noise in the Inside. Die plastic clips inside use to break auf are unreachable Inside the doors. But that depends on the year. Look for corrosion. At least the first models have problems with it. Also check the ABS check light. Should be go on when you start the car and then go out after self check. If not so, the ABS Sensor is broken and some genius disconnectet the checklight wich is Common Practice.
I think you need to take some lessons from the guy in The brick the worst part is about it is he just embarrassed you and he's in a station wagon love my bricks
i freakin loved at the end when the volvo was like. ight time to cool off the brakes and engine and just chill till the exit and the BMW was like, finally my time to shine i'm overtaking, been waiting the whole lap 😂
Just checked the license plate on the volvo, its an 850R with 226hp and 442 000 km on the odometer. During this race it had somewhere between 352 000 km and 396 000 km. Meanwhile I have problems finding a 150 000km warranty on a new car these days. This car has a new owner this year, I bet the last owner said "Only driven by an older gentleman as a daily driver" XD
It’s heavily tuned. If it’s a 850R, 250hp is correct, in original version (if it’s actually a 850R and not another model). 225hp sounds like a 850 Turbo (pre-R). Anyway, we don’t really know if the M3 could pass him if wanted, or if he struggled to keep pace. My guess is he could have passed him if he wanted. But still, probably a 350-400hp 850.
Volvo driver knows the fast lines he takes. No need for 500hp to get fast around the track. But getting around with those lose springs is a accomplishment on itself haha.
Cannot be 100% sure if this is such, sure sounds like it is - but anyways, Volvo 850 T5-R engine is no joke, has serious power... is no regular soccer-mommy wagon. Also, as boxy shaped as they are - they are surprisingly aerodynamic aswell, if look at numbers. So fast also in higher speeds.
+johnnyinmotion69 You could always get an Audi with an S badge ;) or stick to Volvos with T5 or R badge! I've got two S70s one slow and one T5 but this wagon is FAST! By the way, don't be surprised to find some parts on your Volvo being made it Germany! I always feel confident every time the box says so :)
There is something about Volvos that you get hooked for life! I never thought I would until I got an S70 for my wife then a year later, bought a S70T5 and now I'm after a V70R (similar body style as the one in the video). Try it, you might end up a Volvo enthusiast :)
The moment the Volvo driver recalls he needs to be on Hornsgatan by 5 tomorrow night to visit his mormor but he's some couple thousands kilometers away.
