6.1.3 Challenges for the packaging industry 

While making the predictions about the future, the experts also identified the biggest challenges in getting there. This last video is a compilation of some experts singling out the main hurdles that we need to take to reduce our packaging waste, and ultimately establish a circular economy with packaging.
The experts seem to agree on the need for education of consumers and the need for regulations to hold producers responsible for the packaging waste that they are generating. Siem Haffmans takes a look further into the future and recognizes the systems thinking approach that should be adopted by the industry.
