Possibly the single best alliance raid this game has to offer since Orbonne Monastery Not to mention huuuuuuge lore that we finally get big answers and bigger questions to Also, I will put a fat sack of gil down if Deryk or his little monkey isn't Oschon or related to Oschon He "wanders," he wears greens and browns, he isn't versed in interacting with people, he's fascinated by mortal concepts (most notably Twelve worship and its origins/persistence), he somehow knew about and freely traveled the phantom realm when nobody else has proven it even exists for assumedly centuries. . .and now we learn that the Twelve disguise themselves among mortals as various animals or familiars!

It's almost suspiciously obvious. OR THEY KNOW WE WILL GUESS THAT, SO THERE'S A BIGGER TWIST. This is my favorite Alliance Raid ever, personally.

@@JaxomNautilus Yeah, I'm definitely feeling a "it can't be that easy" with Deryk, especially since the Twelve should've recognized him instantly if he was Oschon or a vassal of him Though, my super crackpot theory is that he is in fact Oschon, and we don't fight him in one of the raid tiers. We actually get to fight an alliance raid rendition of Odin, as difficult as say launch day thunder god if I'm being generous. I thought of this because the boss theme for the first three bosses has notes from odin's theme, as well as the raid series being called "Myths of the Realm" and we kinda dropped Odin in ARR despite being able to revive itself/himself indefinitely through a sword, in an uncannily similar way to an ascian
