Over 7 inches of rain in downtown Sarasota in just a few hours created chaos. Drivers stranding themselves in deep water, white water on Main Street in downtown. Blinding rainfall rates and lightning. Sots with a woman who was trying to make it to her dinner reservation in the midst of it all.

I'm in Manatee County, and we were under a flood warning until 10pm. We got a lot of rain today, and it's supposed to be this way all week. I have heard that Sarasota floods a lot.

People that do storm chasing and things like that that try to make things seem worse than what they are really need to quit this is Sarasota's fault by the way the town itself and the people who run it because they've been for years asked to make better draining for Sarasota

This is NOT a good sign as to your future when a city can flood like this from six inches of rain. Six inches of rain happens a lot all around the U.S. and you don't see this happen.
