I discovered Greta Van Fleet a month ago due to random play on Spotify. I was blown away. I lucked out and found a small venue date near me. These guys really bring it live. They have a lot of energy on stage and were a lot of fun.
Not sure if this song is an original (they only have a 4-song EP out right now) or some cover Ive forgotten about, so if anyone knows...do tell. (Edit: They played this at Summerfest, the song is called Lover Leaver Taker Believer)

Heard Highway Tune this morn on a New Orleans/Gulf Coast area rock station. Been listening to the EP on Apple Music all day. Damn that young and that good live. Bringin' soul back to rock n' roll. Damn good stuff!

That was a Plant move with the mic if I've ever seen one! It's all good...we can look back at Zeppelin...and be so thankful these guys have arrived...finally awesome music! I am a lifetime fan! Cmon boys....kick it!

My gosh this is the coolest rockinest SEXIEST thing on RU-vid. I experience extreme arousal bc of this video. Man alive! GVF IS GREAT. That is not even going into these guys musically. Although I am pretty sure half of the turn on is that the jam is so good.

Sounds like a combination of Whole Lotta Love and Out on the Tiles. I loved Highway Tune, but I wouldn't want to see these guys become merely Zeppelin clones. Keep it original.

rodentcafeteria Fortunately, they dismiss any Zeppelin references to their sound. everyone knows they sound like Zeppelin 100%, but I think they don't want to be accused of merely copying them.

Seems to sound more like grand funk railroad (ie: people lets stop the war from e pluribus funk) which makes sense cuz grand funk were from michigan like these guys... and from 2:20-2:40 it sounds like a riff from nobodys fault but mine (fairly close sounding, but different). Dont really hear whole lotta love myself, but I think the song is a good mix of influences and a solid tune.

Yes, I've heard them say it wasn't their intention to sound like LZ, but sometimes your influences come out whether intentional or not. Highway Tune blew everyone's mind, so hopefully there will be more of that to come (just go easy on the LZ riffs).

@@shelby2172 ... Greta still sounds the same after all these years... no growth really... unlike a band such as Shinedown... now there's a band that has grown... not only in sound but in lyrics... Greta... I believe... needs some 'life' experience and put that into their music... and they also need to get out from under the Led Zeppelin 'sound' too... that would help a lot... just sayin'...
