This is part one of a series of videos following a complete tear-down and rebuild of a 1986 GM 6.2 liter diesel engine that came from a 1986 M1008 CUCV. (For search engines: M1009, M1010, M1028, M1031)
In Part 1 we take the shortest route possible to quickly remove the entire top end of the GM 6.2 liter diesel. We will remove the CDR Valve, Vacuum Pump, Coolant Crossover/Thermostat Housing, Water Pump Assembly, Fuel Pump Assembly, Intake Manifold, Exhaust Manifold, Rocker Assemblies, Push Rods, Heads and Dipstick. We'll also inspect and take a look at that curious water situation.
One of my original songs, New Tattoo, which I have managed through TuneCore got a copyright claim against it... From TuneCore! LOL! I basically put in a copyright claim on myself! So I had to replace that original song in this video with one from RU-vid's sound bank.
