I recently picked up a m1009 (military blazer) with a 6.2 in it and I've been pleasantly surprised. Its got plenty of cruising around town power and I'm getting 23mpg! Way better than my ls swapped k30.
Have watched your channel for some time. Enjoyed most. Your are a lucky guy living a life your way a luxury most don't have but dream of having. But I would like to give some advice, please don't take it as criticism. I am a 62 year old man, for most my life I've been over weight. I suffered from diabetes and hypertension. Five years ago I gave up all carbs and lost 50 lbs. Today l am free of medication and very happy but the damage done is done. So don't wait as long as I did. Best wishes
Good video just made 2 trip to south Carolina and back with 89 Chevy V30 lost the fuel pump in PA the last trip had to put an inline on to get back to Lebanon CT. Only take 74 gallons of gas one way i am moving out of ct.
That a good looking truck. 3 + 3 crew cab gmc quite a nice looking truck with the rust . It a amazing looking truck and very rear to find. A gmc crew cab daully with a 6.2 Detroit in it .
"Um, it's smoking." It's an old truck. The smoke is how you know it's running. That and all the noise under the hood and wherever the exhaust pipe ends.
I want to see more big green machine, oh yeah , nice , the only way to fix a Chevy charge system is to take all of the wires off of the stater and put a Ford or Freightliner solenoid , out on the fender well that fixed my Chevy, no more shorted battery, no more starter problems none at all for years now , nice thanks BigAl California.
the 6.2 crew putting it a lot of work these days. Just as it was intended to. Maybe after I finish my K20 Suburban i'll look for a good dually. There are plenty of them around down here in the Dallas area but just have a bunch on my plate at the moment. Hope to get more knocked out when it starts to dry out. So you're up in Connecticut? I think my pal 5150mxVW is up around there somewhere.
Howdy there, What's the most youve towed with your 6.2? I have two 6.2 J codes, one in a m1008 CUCV (sadly selling the pickup) and one in a Chevy p32 dually step van with the th400. I'm thinking of putting a hitch on the p32 and getting a pull behind roughly the size of Cougar or a little bit smaller, but likely with no slide outs. I dont plan on towing it around often, for the most part a move from Pennsylvania to Louisiana. Yes i actually started daily driving the step van, its been awhile but did for bout 2 years straight years ago. It aint fancy, but it's been the most reliable and cheapest vehicle to maintain I've ever owned, so i cant complain. I have considered and might turbo it, but id have to maybe do a center mount type setup cause of clearance with the dog house and stuff. I still might just eventually do it down the road a bit. Ive had it for bout 12 years and will likely keep it another 12, hopefully more. Thanks for sharing your videos, keep em coming. That crew cab sure is nice. 👍 👍
11:20 man that's a nice looking little city! Anywoo. Earlier in the video was it just me or did it sound like the 6.2 crew was humming really bad? hm. I need to find a 6.2 beater. p.s I still have plenty of parts if u ever need anything my email is on my channel.
Yeah I thought about that the only problem is the blue truck is a cab and chassis truck and my tan truck has a pickup length chassis. The axle is in different spots.
That 454 is probably 600 pounds, maybe more lol, what year is the blazer, ?? If it s 1975 we can use it out here , lolol, nice , thanks BigAl California.
What kind or brand tires do you have on the rear of the square body tow truck? looks like old style bias ply tires. I’d like to know the brand I’m looking for some like that.
Its funny to me when I hear grown man saying what they're girlfriend told them to get rid of or keep. Did you're girlfriend pay for that truck? That same type of so called girlfriend is what destroyed my father's life. you should get rid of the girlfriend and keep the truck.
