Think Remington new take over is responsible for high quality and going to bring back the name for the company that it deserves…. The story is good enough for me to start buying Remington again
It appears to me that both rifles may have been in a dead-heat. The increasing wind really ran interference for both. Excellent rifles & something we're all used to...a most excellent trigger man! Good video Hero.
I am glad you are doing the 200 yard group testing....this really helps those that hunt to understand the limitations or capabilities of their weapons. Great shooting!
I almost couldn’t believe my eyes! That Ruger spits out WONDERFUL groups. Whereas that Weatherby has been pretty ammo picky! But it seems that Mark V hunter likes Remington! The Core Lokt tipped ammo you tested and now the original Core Lokt! Unbelievable groups! Another great video!!!
I had similar results with the same ammo out of my Savage. I was getting furious with myself thinking I was completely missing the target. One ragged hole at 100 yards all day long. Thanks for the video.
Been snatching up the Norma Whitetail. It usually groups great. Now I gotta get some Core-Lokt. You are breaking me Hoot. You also made me buy a CVA Cascade in...wait for it...6.5 Creedmoor. I am telling my wife it's your fault. Haha.
Awesome shooting my friend. I've very impressed with the Ruger American and the Weatherby. Remington Core-lokt is the first centerfire ammo I started using on a regular basis. Glad to see it's still getting the job done.
Pretty dang good for a mass produced gun, ammo, and scope. My dad always said if you can hit an apple, out to a hundred yards, you can shoot well enough to eat. I think the most accurate center fire rifle I've ever had was a ruger m77 Hawkeye in .204. With a cheap Centerpoint scope. A tack driver all the out to 350 yds. Love the videos man.
That's incredible. Very good ammo and I think those rifles deserve credit too. Big surprise with the Ruger American. Impressive! The Weather by performed as one would expect. Great video sir!
I know you don’t really have the time to get deep into it, but you could do that with every rifle you own with hand loads! I was at the range today, and I shot 6 different 5 shot groups with my Savage 6.5 creedmoor. The worst group I shot was .76” at 100 yards. 4 of the groups were under .25” (one measured .17”). Something really satisfying about putting 5 shots through one ragged hole!
Excellent to Outstand, Sir! That cheap, plastic hollow-stock Ruger American Predator is an everyday average guy's rifle. You don't have to baby it. It's right at home on the range or bouncing around in a pickup truck on back country dirt roads. Where it is not at home is locked away next to safe queens. Shooting inexpensive off the shelf common hunting ammunition the Ruger kicked butt over all in my book LOL. Well Done!
Adam The Remington core lok is some underated Ammo . I fling It and Federal Fusion too. I believe it's your shooting skills and the Ruger American rifle makes a difference.
I've always had excellent results with Remington Corelock ammo in a Remington 760 in 300 Savage, which I rebarreled to 308. Fired a 3 shot group 3/8" at 100 yards with the 300 Savage. Scoped of course. Can't speak of their ammo quality now, but they and Federal were my go to manufacturers for ammo. Remington was first choice.
Good stuff Remington Core lok always my go to in my Mossberg 800 B in 243 win first 3 down the pipe clover leaf open up to under 1inch with 2 more shots. I box of shells last 4 years of Missouri Deer seasons.
That's up there with that corelokt .243 group you got a couple months back. I said it then, and I'll say it again, people that hate on corelokt because they don't group well, must have grabbed a bad batch or something cuz I've always shot purt near moa with it, and on occasion, a might better than moa
Here just to support the channel, but I’m not a 6.5 guy, I’m always keepin it too classic American with my love for the modern .30’s when it comes to deer hunting. Depending on distance I’ll always choose a .300blk up to 150-200yds, and then a .308 past that up to 500-750yds and then a .300WM for anything further still. But I just can’t go for a 6.5 myself, although I’m sure it works well for a lot of people.
Whotee, can you do a videos of the 6.5 with seller & bellot 140 gr? Curious about how good it is considering it’s about $15 less than the Remington core lock. Thanks. Great video. Impressive.
That’s shockingly tight at 200 for that Weatherby. My X Bolt 7 Rem Mag never shot the Rem Core-Lokt consistently back in the 90s. Maybe it’s time to give them another try to see if they’ve changed the recipe.
If you ever get a chance get your hands on of the Ruger Americans with the go wild camo and 22-in barrel I guarantee you'll absolutely love it. I have one in 450 Bushmaster and you can cloverleaf that thing all day long at 100 yards.
These are one of the best set of groups for what I have seen so far from anyone. And how about that, three shots same hole. Your videos are an inspiration for me. I think the last one that was abit spread out may have been the wind maybe that you pointed out right before you took the shot after the camara fell. You are pretty consistant and point out and usually know when the pull was off. Congratulations on the hole in one (hole in three) :)
Looking at picking up a new bing bang either 6.5 or a 270. Looking at possibly a savage axis . Have a 22-250 in axis and it shoots sub half inch groups at a hundred and 3/4 inch groups at 200.
I took my Savage Axis-II, in 6.5 Creedmore, shooting some of the Same ammo at 75 yards. I fired 3 rounds. aiming center target, but hit slightly high. My 6.5 is zeroed for at least 100 yards. So I was pretty happy with the test. But I would like to get back out and re- try the test at 100 yards.
Man can’t really ask for better then how these combinations did. Budget or high end setups those groups will be great for deer hunting. Thank you again Who Tee Who for all you do for the boo lot community. Good hunting to the family and fans 🎥💯👍💪🏽🦌
Have an idea for a video. Using the shusher can that is ment of the rifle. Swapping those 2 shusher can's and seeing if that would maybe make a difference
I don't know who the 6.5 Creedmoor haters are (hunters I assume) but accuracy all day long! I shoot for precision so I'm a huge fan of 6.5...also just picked up a Savage 110 tactical in 6.5 PRC....sighting it in on Friday
judging by your point of impact on both guns remington has a pretty mild powder charge in there . but good groupings just the same . as the saying goes speed means nothing without accuracy
Excellent shooting do you know what the trigger pull is on both of those guns and we need a 6.5 Creedmoor versus a 6.5 Grendel paper plate test with the same grain bullet if that can possibly happen thank you
Great VDO and Great shooting. A lot went correctly. Mounting scopes correctly and getting' your clickies and zommies right are all part of it - Plus wind. Three in the same hole is dynamite - Congratulations.
Remington Ammo is now owned by the same company that owns Federal Ammo. Sounds like they upgraded the Remington factory with some new equipment. Looks like they're putting out quality.
You add some 'spice ' to your commentary! Love it, hooligans, most poisonous mushroom in the woods, bing-bang, zoomies, Barks McGee, boolat. You didn't use wind strong enough to knock camera as an excuse! only fault in this video! haha
