Does the Crimson trace optic seem on par with mid level vortex optics? I'm leaning really hard on this rifle but am in love with vortex as well as swampfox.

For a cartridge designed to be small enough to fit in the AR-15 platform but deliver much more energy downrange, the 6.5 Grendel has shown itself to be an amazingly designed rifle round with great accuracy regardless of the platform it's fired from.

One of the funnest parts of hand loading is chasing those tight groups! Even after you shoot a .25” group, you’ll see if you can shoot a .20” one!

I found the hand loaded 6 5 Grendel sst to be a lot more accurate than factory and I love my Grendel.

Buy a 6.5grendel if u can. Wolf makes cheap steel cased ammo it was cheaper than 7.62x39 pre pandemic. And u can stil shoot match ammo to get groups or shoot long range. It's a great hunting or self defense caliber. I suggest 16 and 18 in barrels. Don't get anything past 20 it's not worth it.

Great loads there from Tim , Thanks Tim . Adam , don't forget no matter how good the rifle or the ammo , they are only as good as the meet sack whose using them , so I would say that is some Nice shooting there Well Done & Many Happy Returns . Shoot Straight Stay Safe & Stay Well.

Hand loaded ammo always seems to shoot better for me. I think if you measure the powder in every single case makes a huge difference.

Happy to see some 6.5 Grendel love from so many channels, especially HOO_TEE_WHO! I bought my wife her first non-10/22 rifle and it's a 20" AR-15 chambered in the Grendel. Great all around rifle.

That sounds kinda exotic. I'd like to see more common rifles with more unique chamberings. 556 is reliable but I still yawn when I see it on an AR.

@@jeredalmeida1880 the 6.5 Grendel was actually designed to be used in the AR-15 platform. Bill Alexander of Alexander arms is the one who developed it, same guy who did the 50 caliber Beowulf. The only downside to the 6.5 in the AR-15 is that it uses a slightly wider bolt face, but since everything is the same size as the 556 the bolt itself is thinner to accommodate the slightly wider case of the Grendel. If you don't get a quality bolt carrier group or complete upper receiver for that matter people have had some rare instances of both faces cracking. It's a great little round in the AR-15 though, and surpasses the 556 and 300 blackout in their respective ballistic capabilities. Ammo is a bit hard to find though right now compared to 556 or 300 black

When are you gonna start handloading? You will love it and super easy. You can even do super fun videos reloading. Get Tim to show you how, won't take but a few minutes to get started. An older guy we call Preacher taught me how the first time. I was nervous but found out it was safe and easy. Haven't used store bought ammo since. I understand that trying all the ammo is part of the fun in your videos. Anyway these are really good groups and you prove everyday to men and women who love to shoot and hunt that you don't have to break the bank to have great success while shooting or hunting. Again, great videos!!

If those are AR mags you are using in your Ruger try taking out the spring and cutting one coil off the bottom and putting it back together. I did this in a 556 Ruger American and it made it run smoother.

When you adjust a scope you have to wait a few shots for it to settle in also. That last group might be good but I would try 3 or 4 more groups to make sure it's dead on

Years ago I has a Winchester 70 Stealth in 22-250, with Remington UMC yellow box (remember those?) I put 5 in the same hole at 100 yards, you could literally put a pencil thru that one hole...Dayum no idea why I traded it off....Hind sight for sure.Great chooting WTW!

You need you a Eric Cortina tuner break, you could tune that load to 1 consistent hole groups. I tuned 147gr ELD m factory ammo down to .265 inch group with my 6.5 creedmoor and a barrel tuner

Another fun video as always! I came to find your Grendel playlist in hopes you had chronographed some rounds from a Ruger ranch. Forgot you had a Predator chambered in Grendel. I'm curious how much difference in velocity you see between the predator and ranch barrel lengths. Have you done any testing with matching calibers between models? Amazing groups. Outstanding hand loads and the shooter ain't no slouch either. Question, I noticed it looked tough cycling the bolt. Do you get a bit of resistance and hangup with the magazine? Looks like it is much smoother on the last round. Have seen others say that they have that issue. Great job!

THAT is one of the many reasons I handload. That is not fluke shooting like that with the Grendel. I get those results every time I do my part correctly. Getting a semi auto platform to shoot like that consistently is impressive.
