Been a ruger fan all my life can't beat them they typically shoot better then most sure not the best stocks and the bolt might make a little noise but the accuracy is worth it for the price

I have three 6.5 Grendels, one is a Howa bolt action, and also a 6mm Grendel. 123gr bullet is a great deer cartridge. Especially for kids.

My nail driver Grendel is a AR platform 24” stainless barrel 3 lb trigger and a VG6 stainless muzzle brake/compensator. Also have a Encore 26” full bull barrel which is insanely accurate topped with a millet 6-24x.

Great round, I have Bear Creek AR and Howa mini in 6.5 Grendel, wanted an American like yours but at the time my dealer didn't have one. I had a time finding brass because I roll my own, did some trading + 💰 and ended up with 400 rounds of Lapua brass but it sure did hurt the wallet . Great videos keep em comin and hope you had a blessed Easter 🙏🙏🙏

The HORNADY BLACK 123 grain works well in both of mine. I shoot a CZ and an AR I put together. Good luck finding any ammo. I have also shoot the Wolf with good results.

I'm pretty fond of the Grendel. I have 2 myself and last year only used the Grendel and I never felt like I wanted for more, nothing has made it over 35 yards from mine. Actually it's a excellent choice for the south east.

I have a 6.5 Grendel Howa 1500 mini action! I put a Bell and Carlson M40 stock on it and a terminator T3 muzzle brake with the arken scope on top and it is absolutely divine! I love that gun and I put a trigger kit in it so it’s got a 1.5 pound trigger. Can barely feel the recoil

Built a 6.5 Grendel AR two years ago and use it to hunt whitetail with a suppressor. Love the gun and it will put a deer down; SST rounds are fantastic.

On those heavy slingers.I always put a leupold VX3 on them. I have never had one fail yet on those heavy slingers. I put one on my Remington 700 375 H&H and never had a problem.

Make sure you have a decent Bolt and extractor. The fatter case means the bolt face has less meat. I went cheap(BCA) with my first Grendel and broke the extractor after less than 100 rounds of Hornady and this wolf steel case. It's a cheap enough part to replace, but I didn't trust the BCG after that. Replaced with a Brownells BCG and couldn't be happier. I hope you get loads of smiles for your dollar with your new big boy caliber AR.

Hornady makes 123 grain 6.5 grendel but as for sighting in yes the wolf works great. My 20" AR platform loved the wolf ammo when I sighted in my Sig Sauer scope. But I can't wait to you or even I go get a dear with it. Enjoy it

I love the Grendel! 7.62×39 parent case necked down to 6.5(boat tail) coming out of the more accurate AR-15 platform. Even my super cheap Bear Creak Arsenal 6.5G upper gives decent groups. (WARNING: BCA is cheap and WILL break.mine broke the bolt face. Replaced with a Brownells 6.5G and works flawlessly now.) Also, that Wolf steel case ammo he's using here runs around .60-70c/rd.

Man, I love it when cheap ammo shoots great groups! I've been wanting a 6.5 Grendel for some time. Haven't decided whether to get a bolt action or an AR-15. Or both! I would love to see you try that Wolf ammo in an AR-15. We need to see some good penetration tests on a hunting/defense round.

You sighted it perfectly. I tell people this all the time. Just to let you know, I have found that the Wolf Ammo is great, but the powder loads do very, and the will change your shots.

Lucky to even find any. I last shot some Hornady black 6.5 G. Very efficient cartridge. 5.45x39 is nice as well. I opted for an AR platform in 6.5 G. It will be unattainable in the near future though.

I've been using the Federal Fusion 120 grain 6.5 Grendel ammo for years now, and I've taken many deer with it, but it looks like they've stopped making that in the Fusion line, so I'll be reloading my own.

Good video. You got better accuracy with the wolf stuff than i could out of my AR. Wolf and PPU are the least accurate for me, but then I'm shooting an 18" barrel. It will be interesting to see what kind of accuracy you get out of the good stuff.

I built a 6.5gr AR using an Odin Barrel and BCG. I am reloading 123gr Hornady rounds for it and am able to get sub 0.5moa out of it. Very impressed with it considering it's a semi auto rifle.

I had a 6.5G a few years ago in an AR. I really like it, but when we hit the Scrimp and the ammo was hard to find and expensive-I got rid of it. I would do it again if things come around.

My 6.5 grendel (Howe) likes the SST and federal fusion, picked up some barns the other day haven’t tested it yet haven’t tried the wolf. Can’t wait to see what ammo shoots best for you.

I have an AR15 in 6.5 Grendel with an 18" BHW barrel. If you reload for it I recommend Hodgdon CFE223 powder for it. Works well for 123 gr bullets.

I got a cz 527&a palmetto ar both shoot good,I never tried the Wolf I load mine but It is a good round to load for dont use a lot of powder,super low recoil &fun to shoot.

Hornady black 123gn and federal fusion 120gn have given me the best results. Hornady custom with sst bullets shot horribly out of two different barrels. Ymmv.

The wolf military classic has an undersized bullet or atleast the batch I got was. Supposed to be .264 measured like .259 best I could get was about basketball size groups at 100 yards. Adversely I got a 3inch 600yard group with my handloads I tailored to my gun.

A buddy of mine swears by the Grendel but it is too close to my .243 in terms of ballistics, so I don't have use in one. I am excited to deer hunt with my 6.5 Creedmoor though.

I’m leaning towards x39 myself as I have two other rifles chambered for it already. I find this 6.5 Grendel very interesting I just don’t see it available anywhere locally where I live. That may be a deal breaker for it unfortunately.

I have a 6.5 Grendel in AR15 20 inch barrel extremely accurate with 123 grain eld and sst 123. however the wolf seems to be the only cheap ammo when you can find it. I went to Optic Planit and there 6.5 Grendel was 2 to 3 buck a round. granted brass case. but I will be buying Wolf 100 grain to practice with and sight in with as it's actually doing pretty good groups.

I "built" my own ar in 6.5 Grendel. Absolute beast for a round. I've found that my setup really likes the 123 grain Hornady Black.

My 6.5 is an AR 15 from bear creek arsenal. 20 inch complete upper assembly. The lower is an Anderson lower that I built. With a lot of magpul extras on it and Vortex scope and mount. I changed the charging handle to a double pull charging handle. I also matched the barrel to the upper and installed shims where needed.

I had a Ruger 77 in 22-250 that was like glass but your American's action looks rougher than a cob, maybe it's the steel cases. This round can do much more, try some Federal Premium, yeah pricey but should be well worth it.

I've been shooting the 6.5 grendel for 3years now,i reload my boolots and shoot sub moa's all day long! The regular round is a 123 grain boolot.. i shoot long range with it,650 yards on a 9 inch steel target 23 hits out of 25 rounds regularly...out shoots my ar 10 in .308....J.B.

I'm the guy that ordered the same gun for my wife when you bought yours. Wanted to let you know I actually sighted it in a week ago with the same ammo and had very similar results. I also put a CT 3-9 on it after seeing all your videos on them and so far one of my favorite scopes. I'm enjoying being able to compare my results and thoughts on this gun with yours. After 4 months or longer of waiting here in Arkansas my local gun shop finally got som Hornady Black eld math ballistic tip 123 gr . I bought my rifle and asked if they had any Ammo they said no , so i said no worry's ill find some , Boy i had no idea how hard it was going to be to find .

Adam I went to the pew pew shop today and got a Scope bases but no 6.5 Grendel ammo Wolf . Wolf isn't the best, get some Hornady Black or SST Bulllots you will see a vast improvement.Who Tee Who!

When you show of a new caliber especially when most folks ain't familiar with it show it off side my side with a couple common cartridges. Like this one show it with 223 and 7.62x39... I think it would be interesting and I'm sure others would too.

My 6.5G American does about 1.2MOA with Wolf. I have a CZ527 that puts it around .5MOA

Lapua is developer of the Grendel round. I picked up 2 boxes, that's a I could afford from Lapua. 134 dollars for the boxes, but I'm getting half inch groups at 100 out of a Bear Creek Arsenal AR with a 22 inch barrel. It's definitely a sweet shooting round, but I can this. The Wolf ammo doesn't run nearly as well as the Lapua . Maybe it's the difference between match grade and range grade ammo.

The 6.5 Grendel works well with the AR 15. Use monolithic copper bullets and it is an excellent feral hawgs stopper. Just aim in front of the shoulder. Instant bacon!
