6.7l cummins 4” vs 5” turbo back straight pipe exhaust comparison 

Hey man, sounds like you’re going for a good setup. I have a 2018 cummins, how bad is the drone??

@@evanschippers3943 just got it all finished the other day. So far not bad at all. It’s definitely more sound in the cab but I like it. It’s not annoying it just sounds. Plus the power difference now more than makes up for it.

I have the 5” turbo back going to a 10” exhaust tip. Super loud and only have it for the “super bro” comical appearance. 5” wins every day for the lower egt’s, big exhaust tips do nothing for performance. Find a nice tune, I did efi live from hardway because ryan is the best. Turned all the way up I have little smoke and lots of power on my stick shift. Just had to swap to a triple disc ceramic/organic combo. 2010 6.7 full delete and tune

I think 5” is the better option . Sounds better and will have more exhaust flow. Nice trucks!

@@dnsbb8033 I have a 6.7 cummins and used to have a 6.0 powerstroke, if i had to choose i'd take the 6.7 but those 6.0's when built can be no joke man. great trucks

L M yeah bro 6.7 cummins are sick also! And fs when the 6.0’s are built they’re beasts but anyways after I commented that comment I ended up getting a 6.7 powerstroke a day later😂 I love it but I still love my 6.0

Grtruckingdemolition no, but I’ve seen videos on them and they sound amazing. They have such a good rumble to them. I believe it was bully dog who was making the 6” exhaust for the Cummins.

ArtIFishal Therapy Your stock down pipe is 4” so you can run a 4” exhaust if you want a 5” then ya you gotta swap the down-pipe as well

critter260 I don’t really abuse it.... well maybe a little I do have a heavy foot. But I always keep her on the stock HP tune, never turn it up. Only time I did was to do a video for the channel. So far the transmission has help up pretty good. But lately once in a while when it downshifts by itself gets rough on one gear but it does not happen to often. 4th to 5th gear is rough. Has always been but I feel like it’s gotten a bit more. Not sure if it’s because I’m towing 90% of the time. When not hooked to the trailer shifts good. Specially when I hammer down shifts even better.

Are you glad you went with the 5” exhaust instead of 4”? I’m deleting my 2015 Ram in a couple weeks and am unsure which I want to go with

Ghetto Garage I did not have a EGR delete with the 4in exhaust. I got the EGR deleted when I added the 5in exhaust. Egr delete does not make a change in sound thou

Just turn it on with the exhaust brake button. But if you don’t have a straight pipe exhaust you might not be able to hear it

You have to have a tuner if you put a straight pipe on a 6.7 because without the dpf the sensors will freak out and throw codes and the truck will not run right. Unless you are looking to put in resistor plugs on the exhaust sensors to trick the ecu. Regardless it will sound the same. The only difference is the diameter of pipe like the video shows

I did a second gen swap on mine and it sounds good as fuck

Turbo muffles a lot of sound in itself. It’s just a stock inline 6 diesel. It’s not anything crazy. Let me clarify as well before a ton of people start to argue with me by stock I mean stock internal engine.

Same here my exhaust brake only works above 20mph and sometimes does it on cold starts by itself

Mine only whistles when it is cold outside about 45 degrees and below, it’s to help warm up the engine when first starting, after my engine heats up it usually shuts off, so wait for it to get cold and then it should start to whistle

It's turns off at a certain temp and only kicks on above roughly 1200 rpm

Because it’s a 4” stock so all you need is a delete pipe for dpf and muffler whereas 5” is downpipe back. 3 times more money and 5 times more work
