Hello Dexter, Nice work as always....kudos to your efforts... Can you share video which shows controlling of drive start and speed using modbus communication?
Thank you kindly, that was very informative. can i ask though to be clear, exactly how did you choose between torque control and speed control modes, because the local control was giving a speed ref? i guess that will be covered at next stage. interested in seeing how you setup the paras for direct tension control example in a rolling mill application do you do on-line training by the way? i would be interested ..
I've installed an ACS880 to control a cooling tower fan, whose power is 55kW, and the cabling distance is 100m. When I started the drive at full speed (60Hz) high noises appeared, but operating in low speed (30-40Hz) there were no noise. What could it be?
HI thanks for the info . But I checked you are using two additional module and you are not defining them in 7. system info . Could you please clarify the same.
Por favor, pude grabar un video del mismo tema pero bien nítido. Te agradezco un monton: Quiero igualar los tiempos de las rampas al tiempo medido con mi cronómetro por favor quiero saber que parámetro mover
Iam guessing you want to control the ramp time. Parameter 23.11 - Set it to ACC/Dec Time 1 Parameter 23.12 - Enter the acceleration time in Seconds Parameter 23.13 - Enter the deceleration time in Seconds
Hi, you could change the start stop mode in parameter 21 to constant time and define the magnetization time to magnetize the motor before giving a start command. This will normally make sure there is enough torque to follow the speed ref. Or another method is to enable brake function and define starting torque if your motor have a mech brake.
I cannot change the drive I'd 2 to 1? And I follow the Drive-id2-Change id1-enter, but I cannot change, please share the information if you know, thanks
We have 3 motor and all 3 motor Igbt got burnt ACS880-01 abb model Now it’s expensive to change complete vfd. So at least I can interchange some card to make 1 vfd good. I have ordered one Igbt and zgad-571 drive card. I want to do bench test without connecting motor, is it possible to do ? I can manage to give mA signal to control. Secondly what is root cause of Igbt burnt? What should I check ? Kindly suggest
Hi, in my experience IGBT failures are mostly due to a faulty card in the drive or if the moisture get inside and cause a short circuit. You can change DTC to scalar in parameter group 99 to test without a motor
@@averageengineer4266 Ok thanks So only changing DTC parameter will do? Further investigation found one IC found burnt on control board(ZCU-12). Any procedure to test without motor plz share.
hello Iwant to ask about charging the busbar or capacitors using external charger after along time of storing Why we do that or can privide me any file about that . As quick as you can Thank you very much
Hi, There is a possiblity for the capacitors to blast if it is not used for a long time. So in this case , it is better to charge the capacitors slowly rather than directly applying the normal voltage. Normally we use an auto transformer and rectifier , so that we can slowly increase the voltage.
@@averageengineer4266 thank you very much Can you determined witch capacitors please. and if you have any file show how to do it . Because i searched about this subject alot i didnt find any thing . Thank you again .
@@murhafmahfoud9469 you dont need to open the drive and charge capacitors, the external dc supply can be directly connected to dc link of the drive and slowly increase the dc supply by 100 V steps.
@@averageengineer4266 i know we dont need to open the drvie . But can you determined which capacitor we need to charge because i have to prepare a report about that . Also if any file exist that will be great Thank you very much
