Saint Rita was a great mum too! And Gianna Beretta Molla! Plus look out for Chiara Corbella cause her cause is open and her story is really incredible. Definitely a mum for these times.
I have been rooting for The Catholic Talk Show since you all first started. I think we need as many Catholic shows out there as possible especially in the culture that we are living in. While I haven't listened to every episode in its entirety....I feel compelled to write and encourage you to keep making content but give my opinion on how you could get more subscribers and "likes". This episode is a perfect example of what I think is a somewhat failed attempt at what could be such an awesome topic and episode. And I feel this way with almost all of your episodes. I like that you are trying to stay away from "political" or "controversial" topics and choosing some really different and interesting topics to discuss but the substance just seems to fall short and oftentimes I feel like the humor doesn't mesh well with what is being discussed. So for instance, the discussion of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton doesn't give us a single specific detail about her or her life or accomplishments that would help a person be intrigued and to understand why she is a saint. Perhaps you could have a cheat sheet of facts with substantive info to give us in these shows. My favorite episode that you all have done so far and where your humor seemed to match the topic was on the top 10 bad Catholic songs. I think you could grow this show but I think you are struggling to get subscribers because of not giving the viewer enough substance. We as Catholics are living in such difficult times ....we are looking for places to turn to stay engrossed in our Catholic faith. I love the T&T show (Dr. Taylor Marshall) for keeping me informed about current events and in less than a year, they have gone from a couple thousand subscribers to over 60,000 because they are offering real substance that is hard to get other places. I think you all could be the channel that we could turn to for fun Catholic light-hearted topics but with substance. Less awkward humor but still have jokes. I'm not sure if I am making sense or not. I just want you to succeed and I thought I would tell you why I don't always watch your shows. Of course, this is just my own opinion and others might feel different. I will say a prayer for your success.
I've been listening to your show since the beginning and spreading the word about you to my fellow Catholic school teachers and Alpha team members. God bless you and your ministry.
