You may or may not realize this Jarnard, but the way you carry yourself from a physical standpoint, and even better, from the way you express yourself in words and deeds, has a profound impact on other people. This is particularly true if it is someone who is also seeking to live sober. We can "carry the message" in many different ways, but we have to have something that is attractive, not promoted! All the best to you...Mark 5/8/1994
My goal is to document my journey while hoping to only provide my experiences through my healthier lifestyle choices -- rather it's exercise and eating habits. hopefully my demeanour and words come off in a positive way. thanks for watching! i really appreciate those kind words.
I always thought i relied on the alcohol to have certain social experiences or to be able to enjoy a crowd, but what ive realised being one year sober is that i am naturally a social person and never needed the alcohol but I didnt know it.
I’m experiencing those thoughts as well. I’ve been hosting these bingo nights at a bar and I find my self with a lot of energy . I feel like I can carry a convo too.
Really refreshing honest talk. I hope your friends see this and you are able to have reassuring conversations. Relationship dynamics are always evolving, that’s how we retain them ☺️ Love your “two days” insight! So easy to chuck it all in the bin if you mess up on day three. Need people like you basically saying, “You proved it was possible!” And build on small successes. This philosophy applies to everything, I’m going to use it today.
i'm so close to my one year mark -- even at 9 months, my energy has increased. i also think it's due to eating better, no alcohol and adding daily movement/exercise.
@@jarnard I always feel so great when I'm like 3 days in and then battling the weekend is my problem. Just gotta be more disciplined and keep watching videos like yours!
Man. Dope and honest blog. We have to discuss the trials among the success. Thank for sharing. As someone in a gogo band man my band be downing fifths and pints during practice like nothing. Once i do get control of alcohol my life is going to fuckin take off in every aspect. I can feel it.
Everything you went through im battling now. Its because one of your videos, I asked my doctor what did added sugar mean. I thought i was eating right until he showed me to look on the packages for added sugar. Now I read everything. Im struggling with bp I was on 3 pills, now after only 2 months no liquor im on just 1. But like you said I didn’t notice how bad my anxiety was until I stopped drinking. Thank . God bless.✌🏿
@@Bigleebo415 sugar is in almost everything and when I realized that, I tried to avoid a lot of processed foods. Stopped adding sugar to most meals and tried to avoid high sodium food. I got my bp down with the health of meds, but I’m trying to get off of them too. My anxiety I was so bad when I was drinking but even tho I still have anxiety, it’s reduced. I’ve lost weight too from limiting added sugar and alcohol.
Thanks. Im really at the point in my life were I cant make any mistakes. 45 years old. I have a fatty liver from alcohol, wich is can be reversed, pre diabetic wich can also be reversed. It’s videos like your that inspire me to be a betting version of myself. Im 2 month in ,10 pounds down.
Thanks for sharing your journey! I can relate to many things and situations you mentioned. The feeling 8 years younger hasn’t kicked in for me yet😂. Keep it up Man! Respect and blessings!
The 8 years younger might creep up on you eventually! 😎😎 thanks for watching. This one was a bit interesting to do because I was being more vulnerable about how I felt about others around me and stuff .
I don't drink at work just at home 4 days sober don't drink and drive not sure if the liquor store will do this but thought about asking them to not sale liquor to me probably won't work but it's been an interesting idea
Bro, I am 2 years sober and I have NEVER met MORE people in my life. I go to 5 AA meetings a week. We have dinner after, we have 1,000 people conversions, men’s camping trips, kick ball leagues, Find your people ! AA are your people Get a sponsor, he will be like a mentor to you!!!
Recognize your triggers. Certain environments, people, and even foods would cause a craving. Unfortunately I had to cut ties with friends and even family members.
