Fun post. I was thinking as The Cabaret recommendation came up what would be an interesting costume if the Sally Bowles had a date. She could go with Malcom McDowell from A Clockwork Orange maintaining a movie-bowler hat theme connection between costumes. A male costume featuring a bowler could also be CC Baxter from The Apartment, but you'd spend the entire evening saying, "I'm Jack Lemmon, from The Apartment." Wallace Beery's Long John Silver with parrot on shoulder from Treasure Island could accompany Tippi Hedren.

..you could add a couples costume -- since you broached Woody Allen's Annie Hall -- of Allen himself and his underage waif, Soon-Yi Previn. Now **that** would be creepy for Halloween or any time for that matter
