I've only made it 3 minutes in, and I just have to say this. I'm so happy you hold your yarn and hook the same way I do! Even the index fingers on both hands too! I've always gotten why do you hold it like that? Just hold it like a pencil! You made me so incredibly happy just now😊

As long as you are not putting any unnecessary stress on your hands, wrists, and fingers, there’s nothing wrong with the way we hold our hook and yarn :) although I always thought the pencil hold looked more dainty :) thanks for your sweet comment we are happy to have you here. ❤️

So, on the dc2tog and dc3tog, there IS a yarn over between pulling up a loop and pulling through 2 loops? It is not written in the pattern, and you don't verbally say it, but it looks to me like you are yarning over. Following the dc2tog and dc3tog stitch as it is currently written gives me what looks like single crochets.

@@BettyMcKnit thank you. I was just asking, because it is impossible to find anyone square up a five pointed star. I understand though. Thank you so much for the reply.

@hopedouglasgreer I have another version in my membership that I’ll be squaring off, I don’t think the 7pt one would look good squared off.

i keep having issues with the round 5 3-3-3 and 3dctog 🥲 my stitches after i’m done are 9 on each side and i’ve been restarting this round since yesterday trying to get it right, are there any tips on this? thank you sm!
@BettyMcKnit
@BettyMcKnit 3 месяца назад
Yes they are in the video - use stitch markers at the beginning/end of the round so that you don’t work into the sl st or the ch. Follow the pattern along with. I hope that helps.
